Hi there, I am looking forward to welcoming you into my quaint home. A place where friends and family have always felt relaxed. It is a no fuss home. Coburg is close to the city and the airport. A great suburb to live in. Not pretentious. The eclectic architecture of the area reflects its cultural diversity. It is a vibrant area, with lots of good places to eat, from Turkish and Lebanese to Indian and Vietnamese.. and more.
The house is in a good strategic position for public transport, with trams, trains and buses a short walk away. This proximity means that you can be in the city centre in about 20 minutes. The tram stops at iconic Melbourne locations such as Victoria Market and Federation Square. Melbourne Zoo is also a mere 10 minutes train ride away.
The area is also cycle friendly, with a bike path following the train line right into the city centre. There is easy access to the countryside to the north, east and west of Melbourne, and to the southwest coastal areas.
What about me? I embrace diversity. I love being engaged with life on all levels, happy being a perpetual student… formally and informally. Interested to know what other people do, where they come from and what they think about...
I love being in nature, visiting gardens, playing in the garden, planting trees for regenerating the land, camping and hiking, walking around the suburbs and along the bayside beaches, visiting art galleries, museums, admiring architecture, nutritious food (vegetarian) and cooking, exercise and socialising and, I love my quiet meditative time out too but that could be dancing:) An active meditation!
Currently, I am working on my home, allowing change to take place naturally in a way that reflects my current needs (so excited about becoming an Air BnB host). It is a work in progress: I want the guest's experience to inform me too.
Outside of my home life, I volunteer as a disability advocate, so I do get out and about (you will have the house to yourself at times). I visit people who live with disability (in supported accommodation) to ensure that their civil rights are being upheld. That's my passion. Although I have got my hands full most of the time, I always make sure I have the time to smell the roses!
