My cozy cabin is in the heart of the land of the lakes. It's a 2 minute walk to the Palmerston conservation area that offers hiking and great views of the area. It's a 10 minute walk to the public beach, the water is shallow and the bottom sandy, easy to walk out at your own pace and safe for children. The lake can be viewed by simply looking out the window in the cabin. The cabin is stalked with games and toys for all ages. You won't need to bring much for your little ones as its already here.
The space is warm and inviting for everyone. There's a lovely large kitchen that is filled with everything you would need to cook and serve with. There is a wood stove to relax by when it's cold outside. I have an extensive array of old school VHS movies and DVD's for all ages. You will find a closet filled with colouring materials, games, puzzles etc.
It feels so good to put the feet up, grab a book and enjoy the views of the lake and the peacefulness that the cabin offers.

The entire cabin is yours as well as the surrounding property. There is a garage but you will not have access to it.
There is a large bbq and the propane runs through the house so you won't have to worry about bringing any or running out. I have added an extra $25 to cleaning fee for a propane charge as it can get costly for me.
I have a large U shaped laneway that offers lots of space to store ATV or snowmobile trailers if you're bring them. There are heaps of trails!
Atención a los huéspedes
I can be reached by phone and I have helpful neighbours and family in the area to check in if you were ever to need anything.

I recommend purchasing your groceries before you leave where ever you are visiting from. There is a small grocery store in Plevna but it doesn't offer the same variety of what you would find in a city and isn't always open. There is an LCBO in Plevna which is 15 minutes away.
If coming from Toronto or the West the last place to get gas is in Northbrook. There is also a Food Land grocery store there to pick up last minute things or all of your things. It's a good one!
There is a wood stove and instructions to use it are in the guest book that can be found on the kitchen table at the cabin. There is enough wood there for you to use to make things easy. Most information needed can be found in that book.
I also have a propane furnace. I keep it at 55 or the lowest setting whenever I leave. You are welcome to adjust it as necessary while you are there but you should be warned that if the wood stove and the furnace is set at even 65 you will roast!
I recommend you bring your own sheets and towels. Mine aren't that nice but are there if you forget yours.
I like my neighbours and noise travels so please be respectful. No loud music at the campfire after midnight.
- The cabin is in the wilderness. There will be bugs, be prepared.
I'm from a small town in Southern Ontario, Canada. I currently live in Toronto and enjoy my weekends at my cabin in Ompah, Ontario. I work in community based mental health care as a case manager. I love to travel, I've back packed a fairly good portion of the world and now I kinda just want to explore where I'm from. I love all seasons and decided long ago that if I was going to live in Canada I was going to embrace all the weather it has to offer as well as the wilderness and the outdoors. I love hiking! Biking is cool. And nothing beats paddling on a glass lake. If you have any questions please ask, I'm pretty friendly.
