Atención a los huéspedes
We are working parents which means we are all out the door by 8am in the morning during the workweek. You'll have the house to yourself most of the day. However, we're available in the evenings and would be more than happy to visit, share a meal, or point you in the direction of some of our favorite Joplin spots.

This is a family home and the kids' rooms are downstairs, completely separate from the guest room. With that in mind, we do ask that guests stay on the main level.
Guests are limited to the main level floor.
In 2011, my wife and I lost our home in a tornado. Our beloved 1940's bungalow was torn from its foundation, its bricks scattered across the neighborhood. We salvaged one, which now sits on our front porch as our daily reminder that a home is much more than an address, it's a sacred space where life happens.
That spring afternoon changed the way we wanted to use our home. Since then, we've worked to keep our front door open, and guest rooms full, as much as possible. We love to host, we have been shaped by the people who join us at our table, and believe there is always room for another chair.
Our family loves to travel as much as we enjoy stories of far away places. I (Eric) have produced documentary films in far reaching corners of the earth. These projects have taught be to see the beauty in every day life. My wife (Torrie) is a biologist who thrives on making new discoveries, both scientific and culinary. Together we are raising two strong-as-hell girls, hoping to inspire them to be open to the magic found in life's ordinary moments.
We hope our paths will cross soon but until then... onward.
