A perfect place to stay, and completely breathtaking. We really did not want to leave. The villa is very close to the water (it's the third building back), where there is a small beach, and the view from the upstairs balcony makes you want to spend the whole day up there. The house has plenty of room and would comfortably sleep 8 without any squeezing, while still leaving the main room and kitchen free for anyone up earlier than the others. The three bathrooms make mornings stress-free, and everything was decorated beautifully. The tiles, granite/marble, and structure are extremely nice, and both of the large balconies with tables (and a lounger and papasan chair upstairs) make sitting outside wonderful. We didnt use the large barbeque, but it was tempting and we would have if we hadn't been running around the island every day. It's a beach house for a relaxing, fulfilling break from everyday life.
House had pretty much everything we could want and that we needed in the way of utensils, appliances, etc. We had some basic food as well as some tasty treats waiting for us, which was much appreciated after our long drive from Athens. Pretty much the only thing that wasnt there for us that you might have expected was shampoo and soap, but we just ran to the supermarket and grabbed some - no big deal. The main part of town is close enough to walk in 15-20 minutes, but we had a car and it was a 3 minute drive so we never walked it. There is a restaurant right next to the villa, though we never ate there, choosing instead to eat at one of the many places in Alykanas town and Alykes (2 min drive from main street in Alykanas). Both have tons of choices of shops, restaurants, and other business to pick from. Also note that most of the hotels will let you use their swimming pools, I assume because they want food/drink sales, so be aware you can swim at those places as well.
Myreen was very nice, flexible and very helpful, and made all arrangements completely stress-free. The house had a key box, there were no worries about arrival time or meeting anyone when we got there (which was good since we had a 5 hour trip to get there).
Ultimately, our week in Alykanas was everything we hoped for and more, and my wife and I, and our kids, would love to stay at the villa again sometime.
