Built in the 1600s, Miller's Barn looks on to one of Kent's last working windmills. It's on the Minnis, where cattle and sheep graze. An idyllic and tranquil spot, 8 miles from the historic city of Canterbury.
The Miller's Barn is only 500m from a great pub (with fabulous fish n' chips) and a very friendly, well stocked village shop which has everything you may need during your stay. The windmill is open every Sunday and bank holidays throughout the summer for guided tours and cream teas.
There is a pretty double bedroom, with a tiny sink. A mezzanine level with two single beds. The ceilings in here are very low, but it's perfect for children. There is also a sofa bed in the sitting room.
We have plenty of fluffy towels, shampoo, conditioner and body wash, so you can leave all that at home.
Atención a los huéspedes
We'll leave you to enjoy your time here, but if you need us we live just next door.
For insurance purposes we cannot accommodate any more than a maximum of six guests I'm afraid.
The barn comes with a small courtyard area and a garden with table and chairs. We ask that guests do not go into the private house garden next door.
In order to keep the house clean, we request that no outdoor shoes are worn in the house, so please pack your slippers!
Tamsin and David live next door to the Miller's Barn and windmill. We moved to the Minnis as it felt like stepping back in time, such a quiet, peaceful place.
