I can't speak highly enough of this house, the hosts or, for that matter, the region. The entire experience was superb.
The house itself is of very high quality, having been very recently refurbished to a very high standard. The décor is chic but remains warm and extremely comfortable. The kitchen was very practical and well put together and extensively kitted out with all you might need. The living room and dining room were large and comfortable, the bedrooms luxurious (particularly the main 2 bedrooms which have a very "spa" feel to them) and the cinema room was also extremely comfortable offering a great place to sit, relax and watch movies at the end of the day. The bathrooms were amazingly well stocked (not every host will leave lovely soaps for your stay). The entire house was spotlessly clean and the linens and towels generously supplied. The house has a huge garden and surrounding expanse of land (the total area is around 5 ha!). Sophie and Laurent also generously left their bikes, trampoline, ping pong table, BBQ and hot plate for our use and even arranged a caterer for us on our last night in the house who prepared an amazing five course degustation.
The hosts, Sophie and Laurent were extraordinarily warm and accommodating, installing child barriers in two places, a cot as well an IPAD holder/rack for the car for our one year old. They also provided a plethora of information on what to do in the region, things to visit, restaurants, amenities etc, making things so much easier for us.
As for the region, there's isn't enough I can say about it, I think the Luberon really does speak for itself and this property is perfectly placed to enjoy and visit the stunning villages, wineries, restaurants and scenery. The house is only an 8 minute drive to the famous village of Lourmarin.
Everything about the experience was first class, our only regret was that we weren't able to stay for a month!
