Your own room (not shared) close to the city centre (15-20 mins on the bus), parks, pubs, cafes, and great views. You’ll love the place because of the cosiness, the location, the company and the views. The place is fairly basic, but we have everything you need. Our place is good for solo adventurers. We are locals in our early 40s looking to host travellers for periods between 3 days and a month, perhaps longer if required. We enjoy music and we often have meals together in the evenings.
We have two single rooms available in a large house.
Disponible para huéspedes
There is a bathroom and separate shower that is shared with two other tenants. There is a kitchenette but guests can also use the kitchen in the main part of the house, which is upstairs.
Atención a los huéspedes
We are more than happy to interact and we will do everything we can to make sure you are comfortable. We work during the week and we like to have fun on the weekends. This is not a church!
Otros aspectos destacables
We have a dog called Antix. He is fairly mischevious, but he is a lot of fun and he is very good with people. He is not allowed inside and lives in the backyard. There will be music in the house from time to time, so if you like complete silence this may not be the place for you. Please also note that the rates you are paying reflect the standard of the accommodation - it is comfortable but not luxurious.
Please note that we have a late check-in (6pm) because we work and it is often hard to meet our guests to show them around the home if they arrive during the day. However, we also have a 6pm check-out :)
We operate a fairly relaxed airbnb environment, but we ask that our guests comply with the following rules:
1. Any mess made when cooking must be tidied up.
2. Rooms are to be kept reasonably tidy.
3. Guests staying longer than a week are expected to contribute to housework for 30 mins a week e.g. vacuuming, cleaning of bathroom etc.

My family came to New Zealand from England and Scotland more than 100 years ago. I was born in Tauranga (Bay of Plenty), on the East Coast of the North Island. I have lived all over NZ, Australia and spent time in the UK and USA. I love travel and have visited many countries. I enjoy sharing my knowledge of this unique country with the guests that stay here at Coroglen Avenue.
