Not a pleasant experience. The apartment smelled like sewage everyday, plus it was hot! (It's Bangkok). There is an ac unit, that he wants you to use minimally, but there is no ventilation in the building. The hallways are muggy and the front room in the apartment never cooled down. There were SO MANY ants, even a few made it to the bed! There was no hot water in the apartment. He sent someone to install a hot water heater after we mentioned it. The Internet was merely a wifi sim (which is useless without a device). With a device, the wifi only worked half of the time, which prohibited us from working.
I will say, he always responded in a timely manner. Granted, the only reason he responded so much was because we had so many issues.
I was cordial and polite, not making a big deal out of all of these issues, allowing him the chance, everyday, to correct it. Then upon check out, I sent a message asking if we could leave our scooters there until we returned from Phuket in 4 days. He didn't get my message (because of his failing Internet) and I didn't know this until I opened the app again, a few days later. In that amount of time, he filed a complaint with Airbnb to charge me for parking, then called the Thai police!
To think that we had the worst stay ever, still was nice to this guy, then he completely flipped and made an entire situation. I couldn't even believe it!
I initially wasn't going to leave a review at all because I didn't have anything nice to say. But that's not fair to the Airbnb community and there are far nicer places in Bangkok to stay.
