Please note that the inground pool is not available during the fall/winter. The hot tub is only available in the fall/winter.
Rules of the pool and hot tub:
-Due to the dangers of open bodies of water, please always ensure that you don't bathe alone;
-Always ensure adult supervision;
-Keep all gates and doors locked when not in use;
-Never add chemicals to the pool; and
-Please contact us first if you have any questions.
In the case of allergies: the pool and hot tub are both chlorine based.
Check-In: Check-in is at 3pm, and check-out is by 11am. Arriving slightly earlier, or want that extra hour to sleep? Should be fine, but please check with us first.
Damage Policy: We understand that accidents happen. But we do ask that you please let us know when they do. Chances are we can fix them as effortlessly as possible which also means better chances of having your full security deposit returned too.
No Shoes: To ensure we keep the floorboards squeaky clean for our guests’ enjoyment, we have a no shoes policy inside our home.
Cleanliness: Whilst we do a thorough professional clean between each guest stay, we kindly ask that prior to leaving, you clean and put away any dishes or kitchenware used and put any dirty towels in the hamper. It helps us get through our cleaning process quicker and allows us to keep cleaning costs down for you and future guests.
No Smoking: Being a family home, we also have a no smoking policy (although you are welcome to smoke either out front or back).
Electricity: To keep our costs down (and pass those savings on to our guests) we kindly ask that you switch off lights and the A/C or heating when its not in use or leaving the house. To help, we've included a automated thermostat and manual to make it easy. Mother nature thanks you too.
Noise: To be considerate to our neighbours, we kindly ask to keep things on the quieter-side after 11p.m.
Security: To ensure full safety of our guest’s belongings, we like to keep the doors locked as a precautionary measure in addition to always ensuring the back gate is closed as a result of the pool. Whilst being one of the safest areas of town, we want to ensure every guest's stay remains problem free, and this is just one small + simple thing we’re able to do to ensure that.
Hi, I'm Ty and I'm an adventurous, active and fun-loving individual who likes to talk about movies, philosophy, music, politics, and pretty much anything you'd like to have me engaged in.
I'm in the Canadian Army, work in Public Relations, and live with my wife, Amalia, in beautiful Aylmer, Quebec, Canada, which is perfectly situated 15kms away from downtown Ottawa, and 15kms away from the Gatineau Park and Nordik Spa.
I'm originally from Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, and greq up travelling the country and world in a military family. Since meeting my wife, we've continued to travel the world on leisure as well as an elite Canadian triathlete. A few years ago, I relaxed my training regime a bit and have since taken up a multitude of sports including rock climbing, mountain biking, mixed martial arts, soccer, rugby, skateboarding, surfing, etc.
I have a great appreciation for life and am a fellow traveller and adventurer. After using AirBnB a few times ourselves, we decided to open our home to others who are looking for a comfortable launch pad with all the amenities of home to explore from.
I've also picked up a few languages from my travels that I'm always ready to make use of.
