The tidal pools that can be seen from the unit boast many ocean creatures and is a favorite hangout for the Honu! (turtle)

The Living Area and Master Bedroom are both Ocean Front, open to the lanai and are separated by a sliding door. Floor to ceiling sliding glass doors make it possible to wake up in the morning and take in the view the Pacific without leaving your King bed. The connected Master Bathroom offers granite counters and a tub/shower combo. There is an inside dining area as well as fully equipped kitchen. The additional bedroom offers 2 twin beds and there is another bathroom which has also been updated with granite counters and a tub/shower combo. There are ceilings fans location throughout the condo, in-unit washer/dryer and free WIFI.

This Resort is on world famous Alii Drive, just 3 miles south of the quaint town of Kailua-Kona where you will find great restaurants and shopping. Banyans Beach, famous for its intermediate surfing, is on the south end of the complex. Kona Bali Kai has a freshwater swimming pool, Jacuzzi, BBQ area, large lobby & grassy area near the waters edge for total enjoyment near the condo.


Please note, the pool will be closed for renovations from June through August 2017 and possibly some of September 2017


This is a non-smoking, no pets unit with a 3 night minimum stay/10 during Ironman & Christmas season.

Loved the view from the lanai, got to watch the green flash one evening:) Beautiful sunsets, get to see turtles on the beach below as well! Very clean place, all the amenities you need and excellent communication with the host when needed. Plus Da Poke Shack is in the same complex a great spot for a bite to eat! Love the condo and the location:)

Wir haben einen Luxuspreis 1415.51 Dollars für 5 Nächte bezahlt und haben ein Condo (Apartment) mit einer lärmigen und staubigen Baustelle (Renovation des Schwimmbades) erhalten. Nach langer, mühsamer und fast aggressiver Diskussion erhielten wir 199 Dollars zurück. Das Preis-Leistung-Verhältnis war miserabel. Während der Buchung stieg der Preis ziemlich rasant. Wir haben mehr bezahlt, als bei AIRBNB angezeigt wurde. Nachdem wir bezahlt haben, kam noch die Steuerrechnung (was nicht offensichtlich war, das wird aber oft (wie wir festgestellt haben) in Hawaii benutzt. Diese Tricks (wie auch überhöhte Reinigungsfees) finde ich unfair. Danach wurden wir von Mails mit unnötigen oder nicht stimmenden Informationen überfüllt (z. B. über Rabatte, die Kona Coast Vacations dank ihrer Verträge mit anderen Anbietern geben kann - wir haben aber keine erhalten können). Irgendwann kam auch (kurz vor der Anreise) eine E-Mail, dass das Schwimmbad nicht zu benutzen ist. Dafür sollten wir 10% zurück kriegen. Als wir aber angekommen sind, stellten wir fest, dass es eine richtige Baustelle mittel in Kona Coast Vacations herrscht: An 3 von 5 Tagen war es von 8:00 bis 17:00 sehr laut (Beton mit Bohrhämmern zertrümmert). Die Location ist eigentlich schön gelegen, aber wir konnten sie tagsüber überhaupt nicht geniessen. Ausserdem lässt sich sagen, dass vor dem Condo man nicht gut schwimmen kann. Die Steinriffe sind scharf und mit Seeigeln übersät. Der Ausblick ist aber sehr schön und man kann sehr gut grillieren. Kona Coast Vacations war auch in Kommunikation mit uns nicht freundlich und nicht hilfsbereit. Wir werden nie mehr bei Kona Coast Vacations buchen.

To make sure all of our guests are aware, all taxes and fees (including cleaning fees) are clearly stated in all our listings on Airbnb and our other listing sites. If you disagree with them, please do not request to book the property. Hawaii State Taxes do add 13.416% to the rental amount, we wish these were not applicable but they are. Currently, AirBnB does not have a separate area to collect taxes but we understand they are working on that with the State of Hawaii. Once we have an inquiry or request, we again contact our future guests and ask them if they agree with the additional amounts and offer to deny the request if the guest does not agree. You again went forward, sending us a separate email stating you accept the fees and taxes, knowing all the amounts in advance. Our records show a total amount of 1250.51 including all fees, taxes, and Airbnb charges minus the 199 your received which equates to 1049.51 for your five-night stay in an Ocean front condo. We were informed about 30 days before your arrival about the work required to the pool area at Bali Kai. We do not manage the complex, only a few condos in the complex and we were proactive in contacting all the guests booked to stay during the remodel. Since it was short notice, we contacted you and offered to discount your stay if the pool was not a big factor in your choice of this condo or allow you to fully cancel with no penalties. You did not respond. Then after you stayed, you demanded a huge discount. We provided you with the original discount offered, feeling it was right to provide you with the original option. You then demanded almost 59% of the entire rental amount through AirBnB. It reminds us of the person going to a restaurant, eating the entire meal and then saying there was something wrong with the food? We do not react well to threats. Especially, when you had the opportunity to cancel without penalty before the stay. We manage about 5000 reservations a year, with only a handful of issues. We are open seven days a week from 8:00 to 5:00 and are on island to answer any questions or assist you with any concerns. We hope you enjoyed Kona and will come back even if you do not choose to stay with us. Mahalo, Kona Coast Vacations

Our family of four had a fantastic four night stay. The apartment is comfortable & we found it to be very good value for money. Without question, the ocean front views were spectacular... Hard to beat! If we plan a trip back to Kona in future, we will certainly enquire about a return visit to Bali Kai.

We are thankful to Hawaii and its peoples for allowing us to work and play on this great island.
Kona Coast Vacations manages over 195 condos, homes and estates along the leeward (dry and sunny) side of Hawaii Island (same name as the State). There are numerous islands that make up the State, with most of the population residing on Oahu (Honolulu), Maui, Kauai and Hawaii Island.
We are located om the Kona Coast of Hawaii Island, right in Kailua Kona which is about 10 minutes south of the KOA (Kona) international airport. Most people include Kailua Kona, Keauhou, Kahaluu, and Holualoa, under the umbrella of the name Kona. We also have team members living near the resort area (about 25 minutes north of the airport) which include Mauna Kea, Mauna Lani, Hali'i Kai, Waikoloa Beach Resort (near the coast), Waikoloa Village (up mountain, about 15 minutes from the coast), etc.
Our team of inspectors check the property before your arrival, after you depart, and we inspect the cleaners. If something is amiss, please let us know immediately on arrival and we will address your concerns ASAP.
We are open seven days a week to assist guests and owners. We offer a concierge service, we have maps and recommendations on our web site and are here to answer your questions.
Kona Coast Vacations has been rated excellent by Trip Advisor in 2013 and 2014, and it appears Trip Advisor only offers ratings now, and we are sitting at 4.5/5.0 based on all the reviews since 2009.
