Our stay was very pleasant. We didn't have much interaction with the hosts as we were gone most of the time at the Tumbleweed Folk Festival, and were really only there to sleep. Everything was clean and neat. The beds were comfortable for us, the shower very adequate, the kitchenette well-appointed, and we appreciated a back entrance so as not to disturb the host family with our comings and goings.

We had a great stay on our way for a Hanford tour. The space is like a separate downstairs apartment, with lots of privacy. The hosts were very responsive, and had an array of breakfast foods, which was very nice. I would highly recommend!

This is an excellent value--basically a full apartment with plenty of room for 4 adults. Carolyn did an amazing job with the space--so clean & comfortable, with everything we needed plus extras like a teapot, assorted teas, snacks, and fruit. The whole environment has a warm, welcoming, relaxing feel. The entrance to the basement apartment might not be for everyone, especially if you're afraid of dogs, because you walk through the back yard, where their adorable, gentlemanly family dog lives. And both adjacent neighbors have dogs too. All the dogs are well-behaved, and both neighbors scrupulously respected Carolyn's request that they keep the dogs inside 10pm-8am.

We wanted to visit the Hanford site through the National Park Service free tour as well as to check out some of Richland and Kennewick's microbreweries. Carolyn's place provided an economical and convenient overnight stay and easy to get to and from the tour, breweries and main roads by car. Our host was gracious and a good communicator. We had no problems finding the house, asking for information about happenings and dining in Richland, or understanding the logistics/layout of the place. The lodging is a modest finished basement with kitchen, small bathroom and dining area in a residential neighborhood complete with some lovely touches such as coffee and milk, cereal selection and fresh bananas. Aside from a surprising number of barking dogs at the neighbors and the drone of the air conditioning, we both slept well after a long day. This is not an upscale B&B, nor located in the midst of retail/restaurants, waterfront or other tourist activities, but a solid option for an affordable and comfortable stay.
