For 30 years our facility was a large animal veterinary hospital that we closed down and remodelled to have an human/equine/canine AirBnB. Our property is a small farm that also houses rescue dogs (yes, they sometimes bark), horses (yes they neigh) and ostriches (they make no sound). We sometimes see spiders, field mice and the occasional gopher snake. There are lots of hares and cottontails and many thousands of ground squirrels. Indoors, we have a living area with leather couches and dining space. A small kitchenette contains refrigerator, microwave, a great toaster oven and coffee and tea makers. There are some great eating establishments in the area and the best tri-tip sandwiches just down the road. The shower is totally separate from the loo and is wheelchair accessible. The leather couches and chairs hold up to traffic comfortably. There is extra storage space for luggage, pet carriers and tack.
Atención a los huéspedes
We live on the property and will be available for guests as needed.
Otros aspectos destacables
We do have an electric gate which we keep closed at all times due to having so many horses and dogs here. A code will be given to each guest for access to the property. We do ask that if you bring your dog that you do not leave it alone in the building please. Should you need to leave your dog here, for the safety of your pup, we can provide a kennel run or a crate.
Please note: Due to the number of rescue animals we have on the property, we do have surveillance cameras on the premises.
Dogs are very welcome here, but must be leashed at all times when they are outside of the main AirBnB building. If you need to leave your dog in your room, we would prefer that the dog be crated while you are away. We love dogs and their safety is very important to us.
We have a check-in time of 3 pm to 8 pm. Late arrivals will be charged a fee of $15.00 if arriving after check-in times, unless other arrangements have been made.
Greg and Elizabeth decided to remodel the veterinary hospital as a way to have some income to help support the rescue work they do. While Greg was born and reared in the US, Elizabeth was born and reared in South Africa and moved to California as an adult. They are both dog and horse folk and love reading, listening to music, travel, the beach and open space. Their taste in artwork, furniture and fashion is very eclectic and they enjoy entertaining. Their motto seems to be "tomorrow is often too late".
