Our family (just the adults) get together once a year to experience a new locale on our motorcycles. This was a wonderful area and the house was great to come home to as our base. It is nice and quiet, well furnished for big family gatherings and awesome views! We were able to hike up and see the waterfall on the mountain behind it and have an even better view of the wetlands down below.

Had an excellent stay at the Colombia Outpost lodge. Great place to house a large family or group of friends. Easy to find, close to the ski hill, hiking trails and Golden. Would definitely recommend!

We had a perfect stay at this lovely lodge. We had everything we needed and we all enjoyed it so much. I will definitely recommend it to others, and if I ever visit the area again, I would stay there.

Stayed in the outpost lodge in early January for 2 nights with a group of 9.. The lodge was well equipped with all the assets a large group would need. It even had a popcorn maker and a nice scrabble board. Upstairs has a good view over the lake and the Mountainside and comes equipped with binoculars for a closer look. The beds were very comfy and the rooms were made up nice . The hottub outside was pristine , worked great and fit 9 people. There is 2 fireplaces a wood stove on the Lower floor that came stocked with dry logs and kindling to get it started. Took no time at all to warm the place up. Upstairs was gas or electric I don't believe it got turned on during our visit . There is lots of land around the lodge to play around and explore . My two dogs were on the go the whole time between warm up breaks exploring the property. There is a pretty bad thorn bush that one of them got into and got scraped up quite bad. I don't blame that on the property though that would be a curiosity killed the cat Kind of situation. . The wifi didn't work the first night we stayed but when we alerted mark he solved the issue immediately ... who needs wifi in a place like that anyways. For an outdoorsy group this would be a great place to go in summer or winter. Mark also rents kayaks, canoes and other equipment to explore the wetlands/ lake nearby . My whole group was beyond satisfied with our stay and i would definitely consider staying here in the future. Also mark had a very large barn that is being transformed into a wedding venue. This could be a great scenic place for a wedding, bachelor/ Ette party or any other kind of event . Thanks mark for the great stay and you might just see me again in the future, cheers!
