In the center of the "Pays des 1000 Etangs" (1000 lakes-region) of the Bourgogne Franche-Comté in the Southern Vosges Mountains – some call the area “Little Finland” – in the canyon of the Breuchin river, lies the town of Sainte Marie-en-Chanois, with its 202 inhabitants, founded in the Middle Ages. A steep road goes straight up into the woods – there we are: "Pas de Deux", our home, B&B, art gallery and workshop facilities with, of course, a lake.
The Ferme from 1890, in the middle of the forest, we have developed as our residential and seminar house plus art gallery. Between workshops we offer our guest rooms as a Bed & Breakfast. The property with a little lake and cozy places for relaxation or creative working, is an ideal base for hiking and biking in the unique and mythical national park of the “Thousand Lakes region” of Bourgogne-Franche-Comté.
