Plan to clean, and know the property manager is unresponsive. The house was very much as described, but filthy. For our party, having the 4 bedrooms was great. Bathroom space was small but as expected at a beach property. The kitchen is a very tight fit, putting the center island on wheels would make the flow easier with larger groups. Unfortunately, the floors are truly dirty, and you need to wear socks or shoes to avoid turning your feet black. The kitchen had a film of grease and food particles on everything, we had to pre-wash anything we used. Tables throughout the house had to be washed down, as did the sticky bannisters. Some lamps did not have bulbs and we had to take care of that. This was very disapointing for the cost and that we were led to believe we were walking into a turn-key property
I called the host during our trip and didn't get a call back until the fourth call. They are a professional property management company, and they should call a client back immediately.
Apparently Gail was out of town and her partner (who called me back days later) was annoyed that I had concerns about the cleanliness of the property and wanting a replacement coffee maker. The coffee maker spout was broken and no replacement unit was brought to us. The blender also didn't work. Gails partner was defensive about broken items and how dirty the property was, told me a friend of hers cleans the property.
I have left messages for the host since my return, but she has not responded. This is unfortunate, because it's a nice property, tacky, but in a cute, beachy way. Nice location, and big enough to have a great time in a large group. We had nine, the house could easily have handled more. Tip: Bring socks, cleaning supplies and your own coffe maker.
