This 100+ year old home boasts hardwood floors, a cute kitchen, a sweeping backyard that rolls down to a creek, and spacious rooms with ample closet space. The proximity to nearby major roads combined with the backyard make this space a wonderful combination that will surprise and delight.
The backyard is wild, sweeping, and beautiful--a surprising retreat, with a rambling creek, an open-space island suitable for a good game of kickball or frisbee football, and a community garden built by three families of friends on the adjacent property, which is available for guests to use. (The property next door is part of the wellness center called Trout Creek, which we also use as shared space with an AirBnB.) Native trees have been planted throughout both properties, and three kinds of wild berries grow along its edges, harvestable between June and July. A fire pit beckons Spring through Fall, and two picnic tables are available for use creekside. An elaborate climbing structure, hand-built by your hosts and their children when we lived next door, has swings, slides, a sandbox, and a platform high in the branches of a Norway maple. In short, you will have access to a truly unique yard, loved by children and adults alike.

Additionally, the backyard is a gem, and connects to the backyard of the wellness center next door, so our guests can also enjoy the community gardens, island with zip line, picnic tables, and climbing structure.

I am a part-time holistic, integrative family doc/acupuncturist, and full-time mother of four. I've been creating my small practice in our former 100+ year old home since 2014, and in 2015 I opened the upstairs of that home to guests from around the world. (Don't worry--I moved myself and the family down the street first!) I love travel, yoga, making healthy elaborate meals from fresh, local, organic whole foods, and facilitating healing spaces where folks can connect with one another around issues of health, wellness, sustainability, nutrition, and intentional community. I work out of my former home a few days a week, so might get to run into guests at that site (Trout Creek) during your visit. I look forward to hosting you!
