We are located 15 minutes from the historic small town of Clayton, Ga. In 2015, the State of Georgia designated Rabun County as the “Farm to Table Capital of Georgia”. There are a lot of great choices for food ranging from the Universal Joint, which apparently was an old gas station and serves the best hamburgers on the planet, or a healthy organic meal at Grapes and Beans to fine dining at the Fortify or Rabun Lake Hotel & Restaurant but, there are just too many choices to list. There are several nearby State Parks. Tallulah Gorge State Park is not only one of the oldest geological features in North America; it also is one of the most spectacular canyons in the eastern U. S. Just north of town is the Foxfire Museum & Heritage Center which was started by local high school students who documented their history, lore, and family stories to share with the world. Although there’s plenty to do, see and explore……the best part about being here is just relaxing!
