Quiet, private, newly converted turn-of-the-century urban barn located in a neighborhood filled with Victorians and within walking distance to Portland's waterfront, restaurants, museums, galleries and shops. The kitchen and living area are on the first floor; the queen bed and bath are on the second (the old hayloft). All new, with some features salvaged from the old barn. The windows look out an informal garden alive with birds throughout the seasons. Everyone is welcome.
Very quiet with private entrance, located in a former barn. The upstairs has a queen bed. Downstairs has a sofa bed.
Disponible para huéspedes
Guests have the entire barn with full kitchen and wifi.

Portland is a foodie town, with the second most restaurants per capita in the country (only San Francisco has us beat). We follow @portlandfoodmap on Instagram for the latest tips. Portland also has a world class museum (Portland Museum of Art) and dozens of local galleries that are within walking distance. Try to come on the first Friday of the month and you can experience First Friday, a night of art and mass socializing. We have several topnotch theater companies - our favorites are Portland Stage Company, Madhorse and the annual PortFringe theater festival in June. Check out Portland Ovations to learn about other performances in town. There is a lot of innovative, great beer here as well. Several breweries are nearby with tasting rooms. Be sure to plan a ferry trip to the islands - Peaks Island is the closest and is a fun trip.
- On street parking.
- No smoking.
- No parties.

My husband, daughter and I love to travel and have truly enjoyed our experiences staying with Airbnb hosts throughout the world. We are former travel writers and when we decided to host, we wanted to create a space like those that we have enjoyed most - a home to come back that offers a taste of local life. Portland is a wonderfully walkable town. Good restaurants, bakeries, cool cafes, theater, movies and galleries. If you happen to plan you visit for the right weekend, you may even be here for "First Friday," a monthly street party and chance to see the latest exhibits and meet an artist or two.
