This secluded cottage is in a historic Greek Revival building that is featured in architectural books highlighting historic New Orleans homes. The mansion with its side cottage was converted into condos in 2008. The condo has a private courtyard along with a private entry. It's surprisingly spacious with its high ceilings and floor to ceiling windowsLocation is everything! Walk a short 1/2 block to New Orleans' world famous St Charles Avenue, the Streetcar line and Mardi Gras!!

This is a perfect home for family and friends. Sorry but pets (of any kind) are strictly prohibited.

Vacations are fun but the neighbors are not on vacation. For this reason, It's not a place for loud guests, excessive guests, or loud banter. Only those on the reservation are allowed in the home. ***Parties are strictly prohibited. Any report of a violation of these rules will result in an immediate eviction with a loss of your entire deposit and cleaning fee.

Please tidy up behind yourselves. Garbage must be taken out daily and any items brought in by your group must be removed prior to your departure. There are marked trash bins in front of the property. There is no need to strip the beds or wash any of the towels and linens. But we do ask that you return all dishes and food to the kitchen after eating, rinse the dishes of any food and place all dishes in the kitchen sink. Your daily garbage must be taken out to the large garbage bin in front of the property.

We understand accidents happen and that is what the deposit is for. Don't be embarrassed or hesitant to notify us if anything is accidentally broken, stained, or damaged.

There's no smoking indoors (not even in the bathroom with the fan on), indoor smoking is subject to a $200 fee, no exceptions. However, feel free to smoke outdoors, with all doors and windows closed, using the ashtray provided.

Please don't place anything in the toilets other than human waste and toilet paper. This includes any feminine products, baby wipes (even if it says 'flushable'), paper towels, etc.

Lost or keys not returned at the time of checkout are subject to a $90 rekey fine.

Check in time is 3 PM and check-out is 11AM sharp. There is some flexibility if there are no other reservations, but only if pre-approved. If a late check-out is not available, we do request our guests to vacate the unit by no later than 11AM. Non compliance with this rule is subject to penalty of one full night's stay rate. The cost of an early check-in or late check-out is $25/hr IF pre-approved. ***If it is not pre-approved you will be charged one full night fee for staying in the unit for any length of time after the 11AM check-out, no exceptions.
**We are not allowed to store any luggage before or after a reservation.

To sum it up, this is New Orleans...respect the House Rules, respect the neighbors and by all means...Laissez les bon temps roulez! (Let the good times roll!)

This place receives a 4 star, the 4th star given only because of location. As it advertises, it is 1/2 a block away from the street car, which is a pretty big deal if you want to avoid the driving/parking fiasco in New Orleans and let the public transportation do the work. Not to mention STEPS away from the Blind Pelican, whose happy hour offers a dozen raw oysters for $3 (provided you gotta buy a drink but come on you were gonna buy it anyways). Anyways: Cleanliness: wooden floors are always nice because clean carpets are dubious at best. However, if you're gonna have a wooden floor, you gotta sweep it. It wasn't filthy, but if you walked barefoot, you could tell there was dust sticking to your foot. Also, a couple dead bugs (easily could've been cleaned with the good ol broom). Overall, it was allright. Amentities/parking: tv/wifi, washing/drying machine, toiletries, hairdryer, hangers...etc, good stuff. Probably could've done with a couple more towels for our party of 4 + children, but this was all good! Parking was on the street and it was close by! Communicating with owners: they are very available through the airbnb site. Just message them through there and i never failed to get a rather quick and pleasant reply! Location: I mean, arriving there at night didn't exactly make me feel the safest (bumpy roads, dark streets, older houses...) but MAN! If you wanna use street cars , stay here. Great distance to a street car. And from there you're set. By those jazzy passes on the RTA app and you're good to go! In conclusion, if you're not too keen on staying at the house for a while (our party went our all day and came home to sleep. And shower. That's it. And this place has a nice clean and pretty bathroom) stay here. I wouldn't have stayed here if i were gonna stay longer than 4 days. I paid for convenience here. But that was my sacrifice! You choose yours. Not bad, New Orleans. Not bad.

The cottage is very comfortable and secluded. AC works great. Minimal furniture in bedrooms so travel stuff was on the floor. Very accommodating kitchen. Easy access to local businesses as well as the St. Charles streetcar.

Spacious, comfortable spot that is within walking distance of most places you want to go. Host is responsive and extremely helpful. My four friends and I enjoyed our stay immensely!

It was a very nice condo in a fun location. Our main issue was the toilet and plumbing. We spent a large portion of our stay with an overflowing and leaking toilet and shower. The bathroom was unusable several times throughout the week. The hosts were easy to contact and communicate with, but the situation was still quite frustrating.

Perfect place for our trip. Very close walking distance to trolley and things we wanted to do. Parking is tight but workable. We would defiantly choose this place again.
