Our place is close to Devonport's Victorian village, with nightlife, public transport, the city centre, parks, walking to 3 beaches, and 2 volcanoes all close by. You’ll love our place because of the modern and historic blend, ambiance, the outdoors space, the neighbourhood, and the people. The Apartment is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travellers, executives on relocation, and families (with kids).
Set in a semi-detached private wing of a historic listed homestead, built in the 1860s, this is a fully self contained luxury 2 bedroom apartment, with it's own private entrance. The apartment features a lounge & dining room, office/laundry, full separate kitchen with outdoor patio, luxury bathroom with underfloor heating and marble tiles, plus guest toilet and two large bedrooms. This is a special retreat, perfect as a relaxing holiday base, or for business executives or families on relocation.
The apartment is located in the heart of historic Devonport on Auckland's North Shore. The village which was established in the 1840's, is set on a peninsula, surrounded by the sea and beautiful sandy beaches. Two extinct volcanos give fantastic 360 degree views over all of central Auckland and the Hauraki Gulf and islands.

The Apartment is a self contained townhouse, consisting of one wing of the Historic homestead, with it's own private entrance and own patio.
In the 1840's Devonport became one of the first European settlements in Auckland. Today it is a heritage area, with many character and historic homes preserved and retaining the charm of the old days.
From the Homestead, a leisurely stroll along the water front will take you into the village itself where you will find a supermarket, boutique shops, restaurants, cafes and art galleries as well as a restored art deco movie theatre, The Vic.
Devonport has a full range of facilities for your enjoyment. These include beaches providing safe swimming, a golf course, tennis & squash & vollyball courts, gym, sports fields, parks & reserves, volcanoes, navy ships, yacht clubs, historic tunnels, cycling trails, and so much more.
The ferry terminal is located at the bottom of the village and, from there, a regular ferry service will get you to and from the Auckland city centre in around 10 minutes.

Otros aspectos destacables
Due to a historic nature of the Apartment (built in 1860's) it has a lovely character, but some care is required over the old brick paths, steep stairs, and in a few places lower head height. We hope you enjoy it as much as previous guests have!
We specialise in longer bookings, so please feel free to enquire. Although we are new to AirBnB, I have run the Duder Homestead Apartment professionally as guest accommodation for over 10 years.
