Very friendly hosts. Nice, clean space with kitchen and laundry available. Only issue was the foam mattress was on the soft side for one of our party with back issues.

Great spot! Surprisingly spacious, and the high ceilings make it feel more so. It's across the street from the Brooklyn botanic garden, which is a nice way to kill a few hours and is a nice respite from winter. Lots of art, literature in the house. It's a hard place to get bored.

My mom and I really enjoyed staying at Dasha & Giacomo's place. They were very responsive and helpful and also super flexible regarding check-in/check-out arrangements. Their place is spacious and comfortable - more than enough room for the two of us. Beds were comfortable and it was really great to have coffee to make at home! The neighborhood is fantastic and had no problem parking on the street during our weekend stay.

Dasha and Giacomo's place was perfect. After experiencing two back-to-back cancellations from other hosts, Dasha was happy to accommodate our last minute booking. Communication was smooth and Dasha was quick to respond to questions. Their home is beautiful and so perfectly located. Street parking was easy to find (be mindful of street cleaning restrictions on weekdays) and it is very close to multiple subway stations. There are two grocery stores within two blocks that sell liquor and all the necessaries. Dasha and Giacomo were even kind enough to leave behind some breakfast staples and milk for us to use. The kitchen is huge and was a joy to cook in, and the apartment itself was incredibly spacious by NYC standards. My travel mate is 6'6" and he said the sofa bed was very comfy. Thank you, Dasha and Giacomo for letting us listen to your records, stay in your home, and experience Brooklyn living through your eyes!

Hi! Ciao! Hola! Tere! Privet!
We are Dasha and Giacomo- an art writer and an engineer- living in Brooklyn, NY. Originally from Estonia and Italy, we have spent several years as nomads migrating in and out of Beijing, Milan, Chicago, Budapest and Russia. We understand how important is a clean space, warm bed, and fresh hot coffee in the morning to fellow travelers, whether suffering from jet lag or cruel airline luggage regulations. We welcome you into our home!
English does not have to be the lingua franca- between us, we speak Mandarin, Russian, Estonian, Italian, French, Spanish ( and Giacomo speaks computer languages too).
When at home, we are clean and enjoy cooking, listening to records and playing the guitar. We have a large old map, art and book collection from around the world.
NYC is a fantastic, enormous city. We will gladly share our experiences on places to go and see on a budget and on a time constraint.
We live at an intersection of several cool neighborhoods, but our favorite thing about living here is the Botanical Garden, where we go almost daily for a stroll (opens at 8am). Sometimes exotic birds fly over and sing on our fire escape.

When out and about NYC, Dasha is most likely at an art openings in a gallery, and Giacomo is seeing an experimental music show.

We look forward to meeting you!
