- Though Japan has a vibrant and wonderful culture and we truly hope that you enjoy your stay here with us, there are some cultural differences between Japan and other countries that we'd like to first inform you about. Please kindly take a few minutes to read the following points prior to your trip so that your stay in Japan will be as enjoyable and problem free as possible. 1) Agreement Upon arrival you will be asked to sign a "lease agreement" after confirming your booking. The purpose of this document is simply to ensure that your stay with us is legal. Without this agreement, AirBnB rentals is still not prohibited by the Hotel Business Act. Additionally this document also outlines the standard cultural norms expect of ANYONE who is residing in a Japanese residential building. 2) Damaged equipments Guests will be expected to pay for any and all damages during your stay. Please use common sense and take care of our properties while staying with us. This includes lost keys that replacement costs vary from 500 yen for older simple locks, and range upwards to 25000 yen as newer buildings have more complicated computer chip-included lock systems. 3) damaged or lost Wi-FI We provide a pocket Wi-Fi router, but due to the initial cost of the device, you will be charged a fee of JPY 40,000 in the case you lost or damaged it. 4) Caring neighbors Please be quiet before 8:00am & after 22:00pm both inside and outside the house. Even in urban areas, residences are quiet and peaceful therefore we would like to ask you to keep this in your mind to not disturb those area where you stay. As a cultural and general rule, "public spaces" such as the lobby or elevators are areas where people should not make much noise. As luggage and bodies can quickly fill up Japan's tiny elevators, we would like to ask you to wait everyone outside, not try to ride the same elevator to avoid bothering those in the same building (wait at least two minutes for it to return to the lobby floor). While in other countries having social gatherings of friends at one another's houses is a common occurrence, this almost NEVER happens in Japan. People here instead prefer to gather at one of the many bars, cafes and clubs that are open until the early morning due to the incredibly close living conditions. This is a critical point to remember! While we encourage our guests to have a good time in Japan, please consult us first before being loud in the any of our apartments. Even in the big cities, neighbors get pretty quiet at home after 10 PM and though we do the best to soundproof our listings to the extent possible, if there is a formal noise complaint made against us we will have no recourse but to charge a JPY 30,000 penalty. As such, we kindly ask you to respect your neighbors and keep quiet at night. While AirBnB does indeed operate legally in Japan, many Japanese are still unaware of the sharing economy and are not yet accustomed to the idea of sharing with outsiders. Though we hope this will change in the near future, to avoid any complaints from both the building management and other residents, please do not speak or interact with anyone on the premises. If you have any questions please address them to us and not the management of the building as they will not be able to help you. 4) Submission of Passport According to the Japanese law, you will be asked to submit a photo of your passport. 5) Not answering doorbell Additionally if anyone ring the door bell, please do not answer it. 99.9% of the time it is a sales person and not of interest to you. In the rare case that it is not, please do not answer and contact us directly so that we can handle it. 6) No Smoking Inside of the House All of our listings are non-smoking. If you end up smoking in the rooms, it will require a special cleaning to remove any smell or stains. If we find that a guest has smoked inside of the house, we will charge you JPY 30,000 to cover the cost. It is OK to smoke on the balcony but please properly dispose your cigarettes after smoke. Additionally Japan does not allow smoking in public spaces except for designated areas. Police have been cracking down lately on smoking outside of these areas thus, your own benefit, we'd like to remind you please be mindful of others when enjoying a cigarette. 7) Late check out If you stay longer than the check-out time without our permission, you will be charged double of the room rate. Remember to send a message a day before you check in to verify your check-in time and also another message to confirm the checkout procedure. 8) Saving environment Please use common sense while staying with us, for example dry off completely before exiting the bathroom, turn off the lights and air conditioning before leaving, etc. 9) Cancel Policy For a 50% refund, cancellation must be made seven full days prior to listing’s local check in time (or 3:00 PM if not specified) on the day of check in, otherwise no refund. For example, if check-in is on Friday, cancel by Friday of the previous week before check in time. If the guest cancels less than 7 days in advance, the nights not spent are not refunded. If the guest arrives and decides to leave early, the nights not spent are not refunded. House Rules房间规则 1. Leaving stains on bed cover or duvet cover is needed to be paid. Breaking bedclothes or leaving stains such as blood or wetting on bedclothes are needed to be compensated for future guests. The price is depending on the room you stay. 如果把床单被罩等生活用品损坏是要赔钱的,金额取决于你所住的公寓。 1. Informing extend the time and earlier check in 48 hours before.  Please inform us in case you want to extend the time to check out or request earlier check in before 48 hours the day you check in.  如果你想提前入住或者延期,请在48小时之前告诉我们。 1. Leaving your luggages before check in and check out are allowed.   You can leave your luggages before check in and after check out. But please let us know from beginning time to end time that you need to be kept your luggages in the room. Otherwise, it may cause a delay cleaning for next guests.  我们可以在您入住前或者退房后帮您保管行李,但是一定要让我们知道确切时间,否则会对接下来的客人造成清洁问题。 1. Airport picking up service should be requested before 48 hours the day you check in. 请在您入住48小时之前告诉我们是否需要机场接送 ************************************************************************************* We can help you alter or transfer most reservations usually free of charge.

We wanted to experience a traditional Japanese home and this place was it. We didn't get to use many of the traditional rooms but they make great photos. The walk from the train station isn't so bad either.

It was six of us and we stayed here for 6 nights. We liked the location, coziness and cleanliness of the home. The host is great and responds immediately to all requests. Once the toilet got locked out and they responded in time and got it opened at their existence expense. There's only one thing that we wish was different. There is only one toilet and that was a challenge between six of us. When we booked it, we read "two bathrooms" not realizing that it means two "bath" rooms. Otherwise it was all good.
