Our 1920s row house is full of light, charm and a great collection of art (well, we think so anyhow). Located in Petworth, one of DCs traditionally residential neighborhoods, we're surrounded by great local eateries, an area coffee roaster and Rock Creek Park. We're a short bike, walk or ride from U St., where you can find some of the DCs best music venues; Dupont Circle and its massive farmer's market, and so many more of the city's fabulous neighborhoods.
From the Dixie wash bin we found in a DC alley to the silk-screened prints from Vermont to the desk inherited from my grandmother, everything in our house has a story and definitely some character too. And whether its photography or illustrations or pieces from our favorite street artists, you'll find art in every room. There's also an adorable dog here, who is a fixture of the house and a constant source of entertainment.
Disponible para huéspedes
Guests are welcome to enjoy the common areas of the house - the living rooms, kitchen and porches - and can use the washer/dryer in the basement, too. We live in the house full time with our dog Penny, so unless we're out of town during your stay, it's likely that we'll all cross paths.
Atención a los huéspedes
We've lived in DC for years, and whether you're looking to explore some traditional DC sites or some of the local haunts, we are happy to help you navigate the city.
Otros aspectos destacables
We do have a dog, so if you're allergic or not a fan, our house may not be the best option. Penny is pointer/greyhound mix, weighing in at about 35 lbs. She's a rescue, so it takes her a bit to warm up to new people. We are always present to introduce guests to Penny, and are always around when she's out and about in the house. When we aren't home, Penny stays in our bedroom with the door closed.
There are some weekends when we're out of town with the dog, so feel free to message us if you'd like to find out whether the four-legger will be around during your visit.
