Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Ganguli Greenery. We had no trouble with our booking and actually we decided to stay for two more days at last minute. This was no trouble to arrange and Frank and Chandana made sure everything was ready for us two days earlier than planned. When we arrived Chandana and his family were there to greet us with a lovely cool drink. The villa is even better than the pictures on Airbnb suggest. It is spacious and contemporary with high quality materials used in finishing. We did not lack anything we needed. The surrounding area is also much bigger than expected, sitting on a small cinnamon plantation but completely private and tranquil with the view from the bedroom balconies looking out on the lush greenery and palm trees. Chandana was very helpful in arranging anything we wanted to do, giving us advice and booking excursions for us. Krishna cooked for us as an added charge and the food that she made was incredible. As high ( and probably higher standard) than any of the restaurants we ate in. She also showed me how to make some of the dishes and we are cooking chicken curry and Dahl curry tonight back in the UK! My son especially enjoyed his stay and made friends with their children. Chandana showed him how to prepare the cinnamon from the tree to the table and will always remember his stay there and the friendships he made. We thank you all for making our holiday to Sri Lanka so special and I highly recommend this villa for your trip.

Four of us stayed at Ganguli Greenery for two nights in April. The house is amazing and has been very thoughtfully designed - each view is beautiful and there is lots of natural light. The house is a short tuk tuk ride to Hikkaduwa and Narigama beach, which was great, and we enjoyed the turtle sanctuary and moonstone mine as well. The thing that really made it for us though was the house manager, Chandana and his wife, Krishna. The two of them are amazing people - so welcoming and generous. We paid extra and enjoyed Krishna's cooking both nights. She made awesome curries (we had 4 or 5 different types each night) and a great Sri Lankan breakfast. Chandana always goes the extra mile and was willing to help us in any way we needed. Overall our stay was wonderful and we couldn't recommend more highly!

This place was really great! We stayed there with our two kids. It´s perfectly embedded into the wonderful nature. The house is completely new and furnished in a modern way. Cinnamon, papaya, oranges, lemons, jackfruits, bananas, pepper, coconuts, rare herbals and so many different birds makes it to a Garden of Eden. Chandana is a lovely host and a knowledgable guide. We got a private tour throuh his cinamon plantation and saw all the different steps how cinamon gets harvested and processed. We could watch how they cut the stemps and how the cinamon strips curl into rolls while drying and from which parts of the plant the oil is produced. We enjoyed our stay a lot. Everybody, who is looking for a quite and special place, will have a wonderful time here.

Located on a lush property, surrounded by cinnamon trees, palm trees, papaya trees etc etc, the house was an ideal quiet vacation home to enjoy Hikkaduwa's beautiful greenery. The new modern design house (kitchen, laundry, shower) was fully equipped and had everything we needed for our stay including a sunlit rooms and nice views from our bedrooms and bathrooms. Our friendly accommodating and knowledgeable host, Chandana, made us feel welcomed and shared with us local cuisine. Easy access to the beaches etc after a short walk to the main road (tuktuks were always available). The place is secluded for those looking for a relaxed getaway from the noise of the main roads, but it's not hard to access, especially if you rent scooties or a car. It's a 10 min ride from Hikkaduwa and some 25 min ride from Galle. After a full day surfing and walking the busy streets, we always felt lucky to be able to come back home for some chilled drinks and listen to the sound of the woods.

Frank's place is about a 3 minute walk to the next town and a 10 minute ride to Hikkadua. The household is very modern and spacious, with many windows, allowing you to enjoy the surroundings jungle. This house is an amazing reprieve from the tourist beach towns. However what really made this stay was our host Chandana and family. From the moment we arrived they went above and beyond to ensure our comfort. Chandana's wife provided delicious and authentic Sri Lankan dishes. Chandana was very knowledgeable about the area and was able to organize outings (and drive us in his tuk-tuk). I would highly recommend this house for anyone looking to relax and enjoy local hospitality.
