Private bedroom (with a comfortable queen size bed) in an upstairs 4-plex. Only 15 minutes from historic downtown Prescott, 35 minutes from Jerome, an hour from Sedona via a scenic drive, and centrally located between many of Arizona's beautiful destinations. High speed wifi, fresh linens/towels, toiletries/bathroom essentials, your own key so that you may come and go as you please, and self-serve breakfast with various types of: cereal, oatmeal, toast, coffee, tea, hot chocolate, fruit & more.
The room is furnished with a queen sized bed, end table, lamps, wall mirror, fan, and desk. Apart from that, the room has an independent heater control unit, closet and various decorations. The immediate neighborhood isn't much in the way of breath taking natural beauty (no sprawling pines or dramatic views, although the view from the deck is great at sunset and looks out towards the nearby mountains), but it's quiet, safe, and a few blocks from the highway. Just far enough away from the crowds and noise of downtown, but close enough to get anywhere of interest within a short 5-15 minute drive. There is plenty of on street parking available, and almost always a spot in the buildings parking lot. Although there is only one bathroom, you will essentially have it to yourself during your stay. There is a queen size bed in the room, but for groups of 3 I have a twin size air mattress (39"x75"x8") you are welcome to use. You are also welcome to use the living room and kitchen (as long as you clean up after yourself).
Disponible para huéspedes
You have access to my entire home, and may freely use the kitchen (as long as you clean up after yourself) as well as all other living areas and high speed cable internet/Wifi. That includes the living room, which has a reclining sofa and 60" Smart LED HDTV. I don't have cable TV, as I rarely watch TV, but you are welcome to stream movies/shows through my Netflix and Hulu accounts, which are built in to the TV. In the kitchen there is a "guest corner/breakfast bar", with complementary breakfast items, such as: various types of cereal and oatmeal (milk is in the refrigerator), bread/toast, butter, Nutella, peanut butter, coffee, hot chocolate, various kinds of tea, creamer, sugar, sugar-free sweetener, honey, bananas and occasionally other items such as jam/marmalade, various fruit, cookies and other treats. You'll also find spices, cooking oil, and space for any food you may have (along with a shelf in the refrigerator). There is even a small "book exchange" area, for those of you on extended trips and looking for some new reading material to take with you!
Atención a los huéspedes
How we interact is entirely up to you. I understand that sometimes guests want to meet and interact with new people, and other times they simply want a place to sleep for a night or so; both are perfectly acceptable. I've spent the last 4+ years traveling non stop, and love to discuss travel with others, so I'm almost always open to swap stories, chat, play a board game, watch a movie or go on a mini adventure. Otherwise, a simple "hey" in passing is more than acceptable, and you can do your own thing :). I've taken what I liked/didn't like from my stays in Air BnB homes, hostels and hotels, and tried to create a space that incorporates the best of all three. I want you to feel at home while you're here, and be completely comfortable. As long as you aren't destructive, or excessively loud, you are more than welcome to enjoy yourself. Also, I often plan outings/game nights with friends and you are welcome to join if your stay coincides with one :).
Otros aspectos destacables
The unit is up one straight/wide flight of stairs. I would be happy to assist if you need help getting your luggage up the stairs.
Free on street parking is readily available, but there may also be room in the parking lot directly next to the building.
If you book for three guests, I have a "twin" air mattress and bedding which you are welcome to put on the floor of the bedroom. However, that will make the room a bit cramped, so please do NOT book for three guests if that is an issue for you.
The room has a box fan which keeps it cool (especially when placed in the window), and there is a 12,000BTU window air conditioning unit in the living room.
Everyone hates rules, so I'll keep them to a minimum and rely on common sense/curtesy to dictate the rest :P!
- Read over ALL the directions and check-in instructions. They are incredibly detailed and will make it impossible for you to get "lost".
- Only booked guests are allowed on the property.
- Guests wanting to stay longer than 7 nights MUST message me BEFORE booking.
***Due to allergies, a lease agreement which forbids animals of any kind, and a number of other factors, I am NOT able to host guests traveling with any animals (to include service animals). I apologize for any inconvenience.***

I'm just your average world traveling, volcano climbing, sky/scuba diving, motorcycle racing, helicopter/airplane flying, meteorologist :). I recently returned from nine years of living and traveling overseas, with the last four and a half being non stop travel, through fifty countries on six continents, and I'm always looking for my next adventure! Travel is my passion, but I've had to put it on hold while I continue my flight training in the US. I've spent the past years volunteering for various humanitarian projects; at times staying with local hosts, and other times in various hotels and hostels, and have realized how much more enjoyable it is to sleep in an actual "home" as opposed to an over priced hotel room or crowded dorm. As an added bonus, it's considerably cheaper, which is important when your "work" primarily pays in "gratitude" and "hope for the future", haha. Ever since finding out about Air BNB, I rarely deal with hotels, and I have been all the happier for it.
Now that I'm "stuck" in one place for a while, I figure I'd give the hosting side a try, as it seems like a good way to bring back a sense of travel. Obviously not everyone is interested in using this site in order to bring a social aspect to their accommodation needs, which is fine, but the option is there if you'd like. Besides, I'm working on another two degrees, along with continuing my helicopter and fixed wing training, so I'm more than happy to give you your space and focus on my work :). In the end, is up to you, if you want to discuss your travels, your culture, or your views of the world, I'm game. If you just want a quiet place to stay while you stop off on your way through the area, that's more than fine as well. This can be a hostel type experience, a secluded getaway, or anything in between.
My place is relatively simple, as I can't stand clutter, and is always spotless, so if that's your thing then you'll be happy here. I'm a really relaxed individual, and gone most of the time due to my busy schedule, but I'll do my best to make your stay as comfortable as possible. If you have any questions, feel free to shoot me a message. I started hosting in November of 2016, and it's been going great so far :).
