Our charming three bedroom Victorian cottage is located on a quiet street in the up and coming area of Broadstone, just 15 min walk from the city centre. There is plenty of space for four guests. The Hugh Lane Gallery, the Writers Museum and the James Joyce Centre are particularly close but we are within walking distance all of the city's main attractions with lots of other transport options (bus/Dublin bikes) available just 2 minutes from our front door too, in case you get tired!.
This is a well loved family home on a great street, quiet and peaceful but only minutes from all the hustle and bustle of Dublin city centre.
Guests have access to the entire house and are invited to consider it their own home for the duration of their visit. :-)
My neighbour, Aoife lives 5 doors away behind the pink door. She is on hand to offer any assistance, help or tips that you need. She looks forward to meeting you and welcoming you to Dublin on my behalf.
Our area is the heart of Victorian Dublin, a very historical area near the centre of Dublin. It's a fantastic area because it's quiet and peaceful with a wonderful park, playground and beautiful wildlife but only minutes from all the action of Dublin, a busy, cosmopolitan city.
Getting around is pretty easy -
We are less than a ten minute walk from the official centre of Dublin (the GPO on O'Connell St.), Trinity College is a further ten minutes by foot.
Dublin bikes are a wonderful way for cycle enthusiasts to see the city. A three day pass costs €5 and is available to buy from the machines around the corner on Blessington Street. This covers your use of the bike for half hour intervals and there are stations all over the city centre. For further details, check out (URL HIDDEN)
We are on lots of bus routes (the 4, 9 and 140 all stop on Western Way, on the same side as the bikes when heading North or opposite the bikes when going towards the city) and the (PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN) all stop on Berkley rd (city bound) and Mountjoy St. (outside Spar) when coming from the city or going West.
This has been my home for many years and it's a new venture for me to share it with others while I'm away. I have recently had renovation works done on it to maximise the comfort for my guests. I hope you have a lovely stay in my home and please if you have any requests or needs, just let us know - we will do our very best to help.
We would like you to treat our home as if you were staying with good friends; take care of it, but sit back, relax and enjoy your stay. Please be considerate of our neighbours, particularly in the kitchen area at night - if you'd like to stay up chatting, please do so in the living room, many thanks :-)
I am a retired teacher who lives in both Portugal and Ireland and sometimes let out the house in Dublin while I am in Portugal
