I'm offering a double bedroom in a lovely apartment shared with one other person (me!). The best features are the price, location, fast wifi, and free street parking. It's very close to public transport (eg. South Gosforth metro station). So in less than 20 mins you can be in central Newcastle for business, shopping, and nightlife.
There's also a Sainbury's metro round the corner and a colossal ASDA a short drive away.
Up to two people are welcome, of course LGBT+ friendly. Just no pets, please!
The bedroom has a double bed, tall window, and full-length mirror. There isn't much room around the bed for storage, but there is a walk-in wardrobe (behind the curtain in the pictures) which has drawers, hangers, and room for suitcases.
You are welcome to use the table in the lounge as a work table, as there is not one in the bedroom.
Disponible para huéspedes
You can make full use of the lounge, which has a table, two sofas, and a TV for playing DVDs and console games.
There's a shared kitchen with a microwave, oven/hobs/grill, and fridge-freezer. And plenty of plates, crockery etc.
Tea and coffee are complimentary.
There is a washing machine in the bathroom which you can also use if needed.
Atención a los huéspedes
I work quite a heavy rota with night shifts and evenings on call, so sometimes I'm on a bizarre sleeping schedule. However, I've made a greeting card with details of local amenities, pub recommendations, and other useful info in case I'm not around when you arrive!
- Free street parking
- You can smoke/vape in the back or front, just not inside please
- Let me know your check-in time as soon as possible, I'll try and work around you!
I'm originally from Middlesbrough, went to university in London, and now I'm living in Newcastle for work. I've used AirBnB a few times as a guest, and it's been ideal for exploring or short business trips!
Some of my favourite recent things are:
- Walking around the Durham Heritage Coast
- 'The Book' - Alan Watts
- The Grand Budapest Hotel (film)
- The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt (show)
- 1 kilo tubs of crunchy peanut butter
As a guest I'm usually a solo traveller, and I'd love to hear your recommendations for things to do nearby. Previous AirBnB hosts have said that I'm a polite and chilled guest - I like to think the same! :)
If I'm your host then I'll probably be at work most of the time, to be honest, but that means you'll have more time with the place to yourself, and I'll make sure the place is well stocked with tea and coffee in my absence! When I'm home I'm happy to recommend places to explore in Newcastle and nearby, and give you lifts to the shops etc.
