The most interesting part of hosting guests at my home is the opportunity I get to understand more about people, their diverse cultures, interests and outlook on life. For the past decade I have been in the profession of journalism, while I began my professional life as an hotelier, starting off as a management trainee at the Royal Berkshire hotel in Ascot, London. I then worked at the Orlando Marriott World Center and retired as an hotelier following the December 2004 Tsunami having been the General Manager of Sri Lanka's most luxurious and expensive boutique hotel at the time.
I enjoy the climate in Nuwara Eliya, the comparatively fresh air, and accumulating information about anything.
Either way I do my very best towards ensuring a comfortable, pleasant and memorable stay at my home for all of my guests and my life motto is "empathize with the world through learning".
