An Caladh is a lovely bungalow overlooking the Gareloch at Clynder, on the delightful and historic Rosneath Peninsula in Argyll & Bute. Situated in an elevated, peaceful setting within the owner's grounds, you will enjoy stunning views in a restful location. Clynder offers an ideal touring base from which to explore this wonderful area.

An Caladh's flexible accommodation has one bedroom as DOUBLE OR TWIN . The spacious Danish style open plan living area feels light and airy with a relaxing ambiance. Summer or winter, An Caladh is a great lochside location for a romantic break with the one you love or an adventure with a friend.

You have the whole bungalow to yourself, private garden and patio area to the front with your own pedestrian access gate. There is a patio at the rear of the bungalow and a path down to the dedicated parking area. We ask that guests don't use the driveway as a pedestrian access or stray in to our own garden in order to preserve our privacy.

Elaine's place is absolutely wonderful, great value for money and beautiful. It was clean, matched description and very comfortable. Easy to travel around and even gave us some home grown tomatoes and a lift to the train station. Would highly recommend :) 10/10!

An Caladh was the perfect place to spend a few days away from the normal busy life me and my partner lead. The location was spectacular and in good driving distance from beautiful Glen Coe. We did a lot of driving whilst there (nearly 200 miles on one day) and coming back to the house provided a cosy place to relax and unwind. The property itself was clean, had clear instructions on how to use the appliances and all the tools you needed to prepare food. There is a local co-op that came in very handy for us as we were up early and back late - it opens at 7 and closes at 10 so this was very helpful. Elaine was so welcoming and a real pleasure to speak to. I can't thank her or praise her enough :)

Elaine's place was bigger and better than we expected. The accommodation very well organised and laid out. Everything was explained well both in person and in the written instructions. The whole place was immaculately clean. The views from here are really good. I particularly enjoyed a walk to the top of the hill above Annach Mohr Road, on the route explained in the local walks brochure in the hall. There a real beauty to the whole area, and more history than I ever expected to find there.

It is hard to know where to begin here, as there was so much to appreciate with this wonderful rental. My girlfriend and I spent a lovely week at Elaine's bungalow, which overlooks the western shore of the Gare Loch in Argyll, in the west of Scotland. The directions were very good and Elaine was there to meet us when we arrived and show us around. There is a dedicated parking space for guests. Inside the bungalow, there is a large open-plan combined living/dining room and kitchen, all of which are well furnished/equipped - there is even a wood-burning fire (with logs and kindling provided) if the Scottish weather gets a little chilly ( there are also plenty of electric storage heaters, too). There is a nice little garden patio, with a table and chairs, for eating outside when the weather permits. The bathroom is nice and clean - with a bath and two(!) showers (one of them "wet-room" style, the other over the bath). The bathroom suite is a bit dated but this kind of adds to the charm of the place! The water pressure in the shower was a little low but not so low that it was a problem. The bedroom is reasonably spacious, the bed was comfy and the linen fresh and clean. There is also wi-fi, which worked very well for us. One other noteworthy plus is that all appliances are labeled with instructions attached to or beside most of them, which is helpful. There is a TV with a wide range of cable-TV channels to choose from. As for the location, Clynder is a small village close to Rosneath on the Rosneath Peninsula. It is very quiet, even by the standards of other villages in the area, with no bars, restaurants or takeaways within walking distance. There is a small supermarket about a two-minute drive away for day-to-day essentials but for anything else, you will need to head to neighbouring villages or further afield. The property provides a good base from which to explore Argyll and Bute and the islands off the west coast - we, for example, drove to Inverary, Oban (to catch the ferry to Mull), Dunoon and even as far north as Eilean Donan Castle (though that was a four-hour drive each way). Helensburgh is also close by, as it Balloch/Loch Lomond and you can drive to Glasgow in about an hour. For those unfamiliar with the area, there are plenty of leaflets and brochures with local places of interest to visit and activities to try, and Elaine can also advise. If you want a quiet, scenic, comfortable base in which to relax or from which to explore the surrounding area, this is perfect. If you want a lively place with lots of entertainment and/or nightlife, it is probably not for you. My girlfriend says this rental far exceeded her expectations. We cannot recommend it highly enough - it is great value and we would definitely stay there again if we...

We had a lovely time staying in Elaine's cottage, it is brilliantly equipped, spacious and very comfortable. Elaine is a diamond! Beautiful views from the cottage. Thanks for a great bank holiday weekend, hope to see you again :)
