We recently completed our updating with a new king size bed in the master bedroom with new bedding and sheets, new queen size bed and new sheets and bedding in one guest bedroom, new LED flat screen TVs in the den and master bedroom, new sleeper sofa and new sectional in the den, new towels in the bathrooms, new toaster oven and coffee maker in the kitchen, along with some new pots and pans and new silverware. We also have a new gas grill under the the covered portion of the deck. PLUS, we put new carpet in the bedrooms and new flooring in the master bath area!
We know all of these updates will make your stay very enjoyable.
>>>The kitchen is fully equipped for family meals or entertaining. Full eat-in kitchen, large den, fireplace, and separate sitting area. Kitchen has two full-size refrigerators, double ovens, smooth surface cook top stove, dishwasher, disposal, toaster oven, coffee maker, blender and cooking utensils. The den is huge with plenty of space for everyone. It has a sitting area by the windows overlooking the lake and another sitting area around the fireplace. Very large master bedroom has king size bed, his and her closets and a double-window over looking green space and lake. The Guest bedroom has a queen size bed, full-size closet, and a window. The Bunk room has two sets of solid wood bunk beds, full-size closet, and a window. Full bathroom with shower/tub combo is located in the hallway next to Guest bedroom and the Bunk room.

>>>Launch your boat for free at Cherokee Recreation Area or at Shiloh Park, Devils Fork Recreation Area, or Narrows Park. Very close to Shiloh Marina and Lacey’s Narrows Marina. You can pull up to the shore in front of the house for easy loading and unloading. The shore right in front of the house is a great spot to swim, float on a raft, paddle/fish around in a kayak or canoe, or sit under the famous (ok, not famous, but it is cool) mushroom shade tree by the water. You can fish in the lake in front of the cabin or ease back in to Budd Creek for some excellent fishing. Our cove is also a great place to teach kids how to water ski. The house is located in a secluded area just off the main bay of the lake.
Bring plenty of food so you can grill on the deck or go to one of the many good restaurants nearby.

ALL GUESTS MUST ABIDE BY THESE RULES. ONLY THE PERSON MAKING THE RESERVATION WILL BE SENT THE RENTAL AGREEMENT AND GUIDELINES, THUS IT IS THEIR RESPOSIBILITY TO MAKE SURE EVERYONE IN THEIR PARTY IS ALSO AWARE OF THE RULES.
RELAX AND HAVE FUN: Our #1 guideline is relax and have fun, make great memories, and enjoy your stay! Let go of the stress of work and/or your normal “routine”. Don’t sweat the small stuff. Recharge! Renew!! Smile!!! Laugh!!!!
PETS: Pets are allowed in the lake house, BUT MUST BE HOUSE TRAINED. Also, please use discretion in leaving your pets alone in the cabin during your stay, as they may damage the property. It could cause you to lose your $250 security deposit as well as incur additional charges.
SMOKING: No smoking in the house. You will automatically forfeit your security deposit and incur an additional $250 cleaning fee if you smoke in the house.
ACCOMODATIONS/OCCUPANCY: The maximum number of guests allowed is ten (10).
RENTAL POLICY: We are very serious about maintaining a family atmosphere for the quiet enjoyment of our guests. We rent to family groups, responsible adults, and responsible groups over the age of 25 only. Non-Compliance is grounds for immediate eviction without refund.
SUPPLIES: The Hideaway Lake House has a fully equipped kitchen and some basic supplies in the bathroom and laundry area. We supply a lot of the supplies you will need. Please try to bring more and leave the lake house with as much of these items as were there when you came. We furnish sufficient linens and towels. Starter supplies of toilet tissue, paper towels, soap, shampoo, etc. and trash bags are provided for your use. Be sure to bring an extra supply. Maid service is provided only upon departure. (Please understand they are an interior cleaning crew, not a yard maintenance/exterior cleaning crew) Please clean-up before your departure. There is a gas grill, dishwasher, and washer/dryer (please bring own laundry soap to replace what you use). We try to keep the propane bottle filled with adequate propane for your stay. There are times when there might not be enough propane to accommodate your cooking needs during your stay. See the Access Instructions and Fun Information Sheet for locations to exchange the propane tank. The Hideaway Lake House also has a wood-burning fireplace and we will have wood stacked outside when the weather is cold. (normally December, January, and February) Although we made every effort to anticipate most people’s needs, WE MAY NOT HAVE ALL THE ITEMS YOU MAY BE ACCUSTOMED TO HAVING AT YOUR OWN HOME. If there is an item(s) you are accustomed to using such as a special type of cooking utensil, etc. please bring it/them with you. While the bathroom will be stocked, you will need to bring with you such personal items as bath soap, shampoo, or any other personal toiletries. We do have some toiletries available for your convenience if you run out of something or forgot something. Please do not take these home with you. PLEASE LEAVE ALL BATHROOM TOWELS AT THE LAKE HOUSE. PLEASE DO NOT USE THEM FOR LAKE/BOATING TOWELS.
SEPTIC SYSTEM: IMPORTANT: The Hideaway Lake House uses a septic system for its sewer system. Please do not put any paper products in the toilet other than toilet paper or tissues. No paper towels, feminine products, or face cleaning products in the toilet. Also, do not pour grease down the sink. Please pour it outside away from the house or in the trash after it has cooled. Please put all excess food in trash bags, seal them up, and put in trash receptacles outside.
TELEPHONE: There is no phone line in the cabin. All cell phone carriers work good in and around the cabin.
TELEVISION: Direct TV Satellite TV is provided as part of the rental. NO ADDITIONAL MOVIE OR PREMIUM SERVICES ARE AUTHORIZED OR MAY BE PURCHASED. Movies may be viewed with the DVD player provided. If you determine that some channels are not be suitable for young children, it is your responsibility to block those channels. Premium channels like HBO, Showtime, and Cinemax are not part of the TV package.
TRASH: ALL TRASH MUST BE BAGGED. Our sanitation department will not empty our trash cans if there is loose trash in the trash cans. $100 additional cleaning fee will have to be taken from your deposit if there is loose trash in the trash cans.
WiFi: We currently do not have WiFi at The Hideaway Lake House.
MUSIC: Please use common sense on the volume when outdoors.
FIREWORKS: Fireworks are strictly forbidden.
FIRES: Fires are allowed outside in the fire pit only. PLEASE BRING FIREWOOD WITH YOU OR FIND APPROPRIATE NATIVE WOOD ABOVE THE WHITE LINE IN THE AREA. Fires will be allowed inside the property starting in December. The US Army Corps of Engineers (who own and monitor the property from the “white line” to the water) strictly prohibit fires past the “white line”. This means no fires down by the water. The “white line” on our property runs along the edge of the deck. You will see posts and trees painted with a white band—this is the “white line”. Evidence of a fire below the “white line” will be an automatic forfeiture of your $250 deposit, because I will be fined by the Corp of Engineers.
PARKING: Cars can be parked in front of the lake house on the circle drive, but please do not block neighbor’s access. Additional parking for boats and vehicles is available in front of the lake house up by the street. The area is flat and open for parking convenience. We are at the dead end of the street, so parking on the side of the street is okay.
OFF LIMITS: Please do not enter the crawl space under the house. This area is off limits.
REPAIRS: We make every effort to complete routine maintenance before your arrival. However, service related problems do occur and we occasionally miss something that you may run across. In the event something happens, please notify us immediately (see Contact Information above for contact information) and we will take care of the problem as soon as reasonably possible. No refund will be made for malfunction of air conditioner/furnace, refrigerator, TV's or other appliances. Repairs will be made as soon as possible after notification, depending upon availability by property manager and/or service provider. If something occurs, relax and enjoy yourself and do not let a small issue ruin your day or stay. Don’t sweat the small stuff.
LIABILITY: Guest agrees to accept liability for any damages to the property by Guest or Guest’s family and/or guests, including, but not limited to, landscaping, misuse of appliances, flooring damage, furnishing(s) damage, and/or equipment furnished, etc. If damages are in excess of the security deposit, Guest agrees to reimburse Owner for costs incurred to repair or replace damaged items.
BOATS: Boats can be launched at a public launch area(s) as close as 4.5 miles from the cabin. (Cherokee Recreation Area) There are also good places to picnic and swim there. Shiloh Recreation Area is 7 miles away where you can launch your boat, picnic and swim at the swimming area. Devils Fork Recreation Area is another nice area to launch your boat, picnic, and swim. They have 2 (maybe three) swimming areas. Our family loves these swimming areas, but the best swimming area for you is on our property. Just follow the path to the lake! Please follow all Corp of Engineers regulations for tying the boat up in front of the lake house on the shore. It is within the regulations to tie your boat up at the shore during your stay. We are not responsible for any damage to boats or other equipment.
BOAT RENTAL: We recommend using Shiloh Marina (pontoon boats only for rent) or Lacey’s Narrows Marina (has pontoon boats and ski boats for rent) to rent a boat, due to their close proximity. Shiloh Marina has the best pricing. $300 (plus tax and gas) for 8 hours. Shiloh Marina is open from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. You can rent a boat as early from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. or as late as 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. They also have 4-hour rentals and hourly rentals. 2-hour minimum.
LAKE ACCESS: This house is on the lake and has a clear path leading down to the water. You will see the “To The Lake” sign at the bottom of the deck stairs directing you to the correct path to take. Walk down the path to the lake, until you see “the tree” (looks like a mushroom) next to the water. It is the only tree next to the water. It has a super-cool rock bench under it. This area is the best place to swim, set-up lawn chairs/coolers, float on a raft, and load people and gear in a boat.
Please abide by all Corps of Engineers regulations. (URL HIDDEN) Do not remove any trees, limbs, bushes, etc. from any areas. (Corps of Engineers rule) We keep the path clear for your convenience. Please keep the area clean at all times.
The Hideaway Lake House and its owners assume no liability for any injury or damage to persons and/or property walking to and from the lake.
DISTURBANCES: Guests and all other occupants will be required to vacate the premises and forfeit the rental fee and security deposit for any of the following: 1) Occupancy exceeding limits set, 2) Using the premises for any illegal activity including, but not limited to, the possession, serving or consumption or alcoholic beverages by or to persons less than 21 years or age, 3) Causing damage to the premises rented or to any of the neighboring properties 4) Any others act which interferes with neighbors’ right to quiet enjoyment of their property.
HOLD HARMLESS: The Hideaway Lake House owners assume no liability for loss, damage or injury to persons or their personal property. Neither do we accept liability for any inconvenience arising from any temporary defects or stoppage in supply of water, gas, electricity, plumbing, heating/cooling, etc. Nor will owners accept liability for any loss or damage caused by weather conditions, natural disasters, or other reasons beyond our control.
HARDWOOD & TILE FLOORS, DECK AND OUTSIDE AREAS: Guest hereby acknowledges that the property they have reserved includes stairs, rocks in the path to the lake, vinyl floors and a deck. The undersigned is fully aware that these surfaces can be dangerous, and can be slippery when wet, and that injury is likely to occur to anyone who is not careful. Guests should observe common safety rules by not running and exercising caution when using the deck or any other area of the property. Vinyl floors should not be used when wet or when contaminated with slippery substances. The rocks on the path to the lake can be slippery when wet and caution should be observed when using the path. With full knowledge of the above facts and warnings, the undersigned accepts and assumes all risks involved in or related to the use of the property.
ADDITIONAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS: The guest(s), for himself/herself, his/her heirs, assignors, executors, and administrators, fully releases and discharges Owner from any and all claims, demands and causes of action by reason of any injury or whatever nature which has or have occurred, or may occur to the undersigned, or any of his/her guests as a result of, or in connection with the occupancy of the premises and agrees to hold Owner free and harmless of any claim or suit arising thereof. In any action concerning the rights, duties or liabilities of the parties to this agreement, their principals, agents, successor or assignees the prevailing party shall be entitled to recover reasonable attorney fees and costs.
The maximum number of people staying overnight at The Hideaway Lake house will be the number of people you entered when paying online or paying by check directly to owner.
The group will be arriving on the date and departing on the date you entered when paying online or paying by check directly to owner.
