***IMPORTANT: The extra bed in the "common area" open is 6 ft. by 3.5 ft. (approx. 1.8x1 meter) bed and is made from the table in the main area of the trailer. Please see photos!

Natalie and John are fantastic! Good communication throughout, and they very kindly gave us supplies for breakfast. Place is exactly as described - small, clean and perfect as a launching point for Yosemite hiking (note: 2-3 hours drive each way to many of the main Yosemite hikes like Hetch Hetchy, Toulumne meadows. Yosemite Valley is 1.5 hours. This should not be a deterrent to staying with Natalie and John - the drives are beautiful!!). Its also a lovely location for relaxing right there in Oakhurst - the camper has a patio looking out onto their pond. Its the desert so be prepared for chilly nights and mornings. Would definitely stay there again!

Respuesta de Natalie:
Thank you for your review, Rebecca, and it was a pleasure hosting you! Yosemite is a huge place. Often people don't realize how huge it actually is. One little correction though, Oakhurst is not in a desert. It's the foothills of the Sierra Nevada, elevation 3000 feet.

We didn't get to meet Natalie, but she was attentive via text. We met her husband John when we got in, and he was great! He was so sweet, checked in with us when we got there and made sure we were settled, gave us tips for navigating Yosemite and other attractions in the area, and even helped us put together the bed. My group and I are dog people, so their two dogs greeting us in the morning were a plus! (: I'd recommend Natalie and johns place to anyone!

Go camping in California & never tow the RV! What a fun experience! The bedroom and shower are a bit tight being an RV, but the location and the outdoor area make up for that. You can enjoy birds and deer at the table complete with umbrella or on the bench by the pond. The quiet location is a wonderful retreat from the crazy tourist areas and traffic. Excellent hosts. Great value.

Hosting is really great. John (host) is nice as well. It's really nice and clean, and also make me calm down. My friend and I really like this place so scenic especially the star, it was awesome and amazing. You will see the stars clearly. We do love dogs and so excited with the deers which came across to us in the morning time. I would go to this place again!!!!

This stay was absolutely amazing. John and Natalie are so nice and gave us a heads up about road closures before our stay with them. The camper was super comfortable and had every amenity you could wish for. So happy with our experience!!

I'm a retired high school English/Spanish teacher and part time nonfiction writer. I love books, enjoy cooking and would love to one day visit all our national parks. I also love kayaking, hiking and a good cup of coffee. I've traveled throughout the U.S., Mexico, Europe and Asia and I understand the need for comfort, relaxation and privacy after long days seeing the sights.
