Chen had bottled water and an apple waiting for me on arrival, and was very friendly. The two days I spent there were busy with my new job, what interaction I had with Chen was always pleasant and she was helpful with any questions I had. The price can't be beat in the Boston area!

Very sweet couple that I got to meet, having breakfast together, early morning as I left. Mister Chen is easy to reach; he openly sent photos & ensured I understood arrangements before arriving; we spoke through text/phone as my maps was saying I had arrived at the main street, but not indicating which house. Location: Very cute, safe, residential area. I had a rental car & found my way by calling which house upon arriving to the main street because Maps may not show that it is up a short hill. Theirs is about 3 houses up, to the left. Driveway to the left of house. The house seems to be split into 2; at the porch, there're 2 entry doors (my room was into the right); the wife showed me up the short flight of stairs; turned left, passing the bathroom & adjacent kitchen; turned left up another short flight of stairs & to our right was, a short hallway, with 3 doors. My airbnb room was at that end. Be sure to remember your door (URL HIDDEN) seems like there are multiple other persons there, but you rarely ever see or hear them. It's a cozy room with 2 window nooks; I arrived during October so it does get nippy at night, but I had winter clothes. It was a peaceful stay. Simple & spacious, just the way I like because it was comfortably free of clutter. I arrived to a desk with an apple and water; I don't remember if there was a towel, but I had my own. Bed is roomy & I slept soundly, even for me usually using soft-matt tops. Pleasant 1-night stay.

The host was very welcoming and kind. He even picked me up from the subway station, although it's just a short walk away! He also gave me a snack and water. I can't stress how friendly he was. This was great for a place to stay the night. The only issue worth noting is that I found no power outlets accessible in the room. The neighborhood seemed okay—I didn't have much time to explore. The Orange Line to Boston goes by fast.

The Chen family was very welcoming and hospitable. They responded within 5 minutes of my initial message, allowed me to check-in early (20 minutes after I booked) so I could drop my suitcase off, and even carried my suitcase up the stairs. I was given a key and they said it was no problem if I came home late. They answered all of my questions, showed me where everything was, and provided me with copious amounts of water bottles so I was certainly never thirsty :) While two members of the family were awake and talking in the kitchen when I came back around midnight, as soon as I turned the light in my room off and went to bed, all the noise disappeared. Most of the family woke up earlier than me as well, but I didn't hear anyone and had a fantastic sleep. WiFi worked great too; I usually stream an episode before going to bed and had no lag at 720p! There was a closet, drawers, and outlet with extension cord set up, so while I was only staying for one night, that can be great to have for some travelers. The location is 3-5 minute walk from the Orange Line MBTA, which made it a breeze to get into the city. The neighborhood is very quiet as well. For full disclosure, the neighborhood has many older homes, and this is one of them. It didn't particularly matter to me, it just means things are more creaky and there are paint chips here and there. Also, the "mattress" in the room I had (which was a different room than the one pictured, but also in the attic) was very thin, such that I could feel the wood board of the bed frame as soon as I sat down. I still slept like a baby, but that did catch me off guard as I usually sleep terribly on hard beds.

The space is a private room in the attic. The bathroom is shared with the family. Parking is available. It is less than a 5 minute walk to the Oak Grove Orange Line station which is super convenient. Chen greeted us as we arrived and provided us with towels, water, and the keys. Her family is sweet and pretty much left us to our own devices. If you want an affordable and conveniently located place near Boston this the a place to be.

They were quick to respond and answered any questions I had. The room is basic but comfortable enough.
