Staying with Wendy was probably the best way to start off our road trip in England, once we had left London. I can't imagine any way it could have been better! We arrived so much later than planned but Wendy was so kind and didn't seem put out that it was late at night. Just a tip that in that area it's probably a good idea to try and get there when there's some daylight so you can make sure to find a parking spot on the street - we did find one up a side street but we probably were lucky to find it. Wendy was so gracious and kind! Her home is lovely and the room is perfect. A very comfortable bed, tv, great bathroom with wonderful heated floors. Breakfast was delicious - yogurt, muesli, tea, croissants, fruit. We had problems being able to use the sat nav we had brought to England (forgot to download local maps AND didn't bring the correct cord to hook up to a computer) and were trying to find a local store that might carry what we needed. Wendy was so wonderful and made calls to the stores for us and even looked to see if she might have the right cord herself. We so enjoyed talking to Wendy and getting to know her, my mom and I felt like we made a friend, and weren't just staying with a host. We wouldn't hesitate to stay there again if we return. Thank you Wendy!
