Sorry Ilene was inconvenienced with having to buy her own toiletries as we are not a hotel. We made it very clear that we provide starters and essentials, including liquid soap, dish detergent, dishwasher detergent, cleaning supplies if needed, etc., but do not provide the extras she expected as if this was a hotel with daily housekeeping. In the more than decade we've shared our home with guests, she is the first to ever complain so vehemently about items that are too personal to each guest for us to assume to provide. She expected our housekeeping staff who live off island to immediately return late at night to service her needs. Truly, in the time she wasted bantering on this issue, she could have walked to Publix and obtained her personal items. Lastly, the photos of our home clearly depict and explain that the ENTIRE living, minus the pool and lower lanai, are on the second floor as this is a beachhome- all newer construction MUST be elevated to avoid storm surges. Her complaints about the stairs and access were never raised when she inquired about our home or during her stay. Clearly if mobility due to her age was an issue, I would think she would have undertaken due diligence to ensure she could ambulate and come and go easily.
