I am SO disappointed. This place has SUCH potential! Despite all the initial shortcomings, we fully intended to return next year, until the last night of our stay. The sudden appearance of your friend Ron (who arrived stoned at 11pm on Saturday night), but also the couple claiming to clean (without cleaning) on Tuesday creeped us all out. While we understand the need for security cameras outside the facility, the cameras in the kitchen, livingroom, and hall seemed a bit invasive/overzealous. Investing in repairs to the facility would have been more fiscally responsible. We expected the accomodations to be super basic, but this is beyond primitive. This facility needs a LOT of work before it is in rentable condition. When the circuit breaker tripped from using a simple hair dryer, we unsuccessfully tried to contact you. The other guest that was here finally heard back from you to get it resolved. You left another guest in charge of your facility. While you were fortunate that she managed to handle things this time, that was not the most wise decision. We expected the accomodations to be basic, but not dirty. We had to waste an ENTIRE day of our vacation cleaning this place. It was TERRIBLY filthy and had no usable cleaning supplies. The kitchen is NOT a "full commercial kitchen" as advertised on AirBNB. The ceiling fan in the livingroom is a fire hazard with exposed wires dangling. The shower in the ladies bathroom is leaking. Both shower doors are broken. The ladies sink was clogged and not draining. There are no doors on the rooms, save one. The stinky furniture was covered in dog hair, with no vacum cleaner available. The bathrooms are junked up with odd pieces of counters and such. There are holes in the ceilings that look like squirrels have been chewing their way through to the kitchen. The one room with a door had a piece of cardboard taped up as a window. With regular cleaning and minor repairs, this place could be AWESOME! The ducks are super friendly. The pond would be lovely, if you removed the broken down rabbit/chicken cage from it. The building seems structurally sound, but the rooms are way too small for comfort. I certainly hope you haven't paid anyone for cleaning this place. The couple that came by Tuesday while we were out buying cleaning supplies, paper products  and drinking water, claimed that they were there to clean. They had the door code. Their car was broken down. We jumped them off. There was NOTHING cleaned there. The trash had not even been taken out. The floors and bathrooms were filthy. The kitchen counters had not been cleaned. We went through and scrubbed the place just to be comfortable enough to use the potty....and I camp at state parks all over America. The driveway is terribly rutted, and nearly impassible after a hard rain. The gate is not only poorly marked, but not very welcoming to potential guests. Grading/gravel...

Nice place for a quick, spontaneous trip! He gave us some good tips of where we should hike.

We camped on Ryan's property after a day spent in D.C. so it was perfect to be in the city for the day but then have a quiet, secluded place to sleep for the night. Much rather would enjoy a cheap experience like this over a hotel. It was very close to plenty of resteraunts & shops, located in a residential area. Thanks for the stay Ryan!

Ryan is a great guy setting up a great campground very close to Washington DC, great location to spend the day in the city and get a nice place to set your tent. He gives us a nice walking in the woods to get some wild paw-paws in the morning, delightful and sweet fruits. I would definetively coming back when I came back DC. Thanks buddy

We had such a great time during our stay camping on Ryan's property. Both Ryan and his daughter are great hosts! My husband and I decided to take a last minute camping trip during Labor Day with our two kids. This property is quiet and out in the county, just what we were looking for. There is a pond with ducks and a building with bathrooms and running water. My kids really enjoyed playing with Ryan's daughter. I highly recommend this place for a quiet and relaxing camping trip. Much better than a busy KOA. I much prefer the privacy this property offers. We will definitely be back! Thanks!!

Hello everyone, I'm Ryan! I just started a campground here in northern Virginia with my two amazing daughters. Our plan is to have a camp where the focus is connecting with your loved ones. We want a place the embodies peace and tranquility. We want to create an environment where it's easy to get back to the basics and spend quality time with those you care about most.
As far as myself, I spent 11 years in the military, then I opened a CrossFit gym and ran that for about 7 years. After I sold the gym, I moved to Canada and lived in my van for about a year studying mountaineering. And most recently I just graduated the fire academy, so now I'm a firefighter!! Haha. I hope you enjoy our space and keep checking back often because we will continue to make the camp more and more awesome!! I believe the secret to being happy in this life is by sharing it with others. I believe in experiences over possessions, travel, meet people, share your light with the world! So come on out to see us and share your travel stories with us, we would love to hear them! :)
