A big, bright private room in a spacious, classic Toronto Edwardian row house, located in the hip Bloordale area of west end downtown Toronto. Steps to cool restos/bars, galleries, shops, music venues, subway, Pearson airport train, bike paths, parks, etc. Explore the city all day and come home to relax in the backyard oasis. I love meeting travelers, swapping stories and sharing my knowledge of 25+ years living in Toronto. Vegetarian and LGBTQ friendly house.
This is a beautiful, clean, bright, large bedroom with a double size futon. It is in a classic Toronto Edwardian era row house. The house was built in 1904, it has a lot of charm and character, and is a great representation of early 1900's Toronto architecture.
Located in Bloodale, the hippest, most up-and-coming neighbourhood in Toronto, you are literally walking distance to the best cafés, pubs, restaurants and shops in the city. There are also abundant parks and paths nearby, and the subway is a 5 - 10 minute walk for when you wish to explore Toronto further. The express train to the airport is also a convenient 15 - 20 min walk away. Despite the close proximity to the lively Bloor St. West strip, the 5 min walk home takes you into a quiet neighbourhood for sleeping.
This is an good space for a single or couple as there is a double size futon. Price is slightly higher for 2 people.

You have your own private room with a keypad lock on the door. In fact, all doors on the house are on keypads, so you never have to worry about carrying a key around with you. The keypad can even be set to a code you chose so it is easy for you to remember. All other areas of the house are shared, except for my personal bedroom.

I have a German Shepherd/Russell Terrier mix named Gnüdles (pronounced Noodles) who is with me every other week. She is an adorable dog, but be aware that she will greet you very enthusiastically. If you like the idea of having an "away from home pet", you will love her!
The house is over 100 years old and I am slowly returning it to its prior glory, while including modern amenities. There may be occasional reno work going on. This will not affect your living quarters. The house has central A/C to cool it down in the summer months, however when the outside temperature gets over 30C, your room will be comfortable though not necessarily cool. that is simply a function of the age of the house.
- - Please respect the home as your own: no loud parties, clean up after yourself, respect the neighbours. If you are travelling with a dog that gets along with other dogs, you are welcome to bring it to meet Gnüdles. I am vegetarian, but I will provide you with a separate frying pan to cook meat and pans to cook meat on the BBQ.
