Ellen's home is indeed a quiet hideaway close to the city. The house is situated next to a creek with tall trees and thick green foliage at the back of the house. The greenery provides privacy when using the deck and listening to the tranquil sound of water flowing through the creek. It was quite nice of Ellen to allow use of her living room and deck if you want to enjoy reading a book or you just want to have a relaxed evening. If you are up to it, you can engage in some interesting free wheeling conversations with Ellen.

Ellen was a great host and the house was in a lovely neighborhood. She was very accommodating with my check out time when I needed to leave later in the day and she had great brochures for places to visit while in town. Very close to public transportation and the university is not too far. Highly recommend for those who want to have a nature/quiet getaway while not being too far from the city.

This is a great location, you can get to downtown on the express lanes in 10-15 minutes but you still get to have a creek running through the back yard. Also Ellen is very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.

I'm a young, fun-loving 60+ year old who shares my fabulous home with kitty Flora. I'm originally from Buffalo, NY, but moved to Seattle from D.C. in April 1989, and have worked at the University of Washington since then. I love dancing, movies, music, theater, traveling, and wine. Aside from visiting most of the U.S., my travels have taken me to Canada, Jamaica, England, France, Italy, and China. My motto: "Life is short and so am I".

My guests will be independent, quiet, and interested in the many sights and activities that Seattle has to offer.
