My place, close to transport links, is a perfect base for a country or city break. Beautiful Edinburgh is only 50 minutes away by train (trains run from 6am till midnight). Situated in the heart of the historic Scottish Borders, the full upgraded apartment was originally a 1920's bungalow. Why not relax with a glass of wine in the private garden, jacuzzi bath or snooker room or curl up on the window seat with a good book.
This lovely, spacious apartment has been renovated and improved to a high standard and is the ground floor of a family home with one double bedroom and one twin bedded room. The apartment was originally a 1920’s bungalow and some original features still remain, such as the floor tiles in the front porch and the fireplace in the snooker room.
The large fully fitted kitchen includes a range cooker with 8 gas burners with 2 electric ovens and a grill, fridge freezer, washing machine and dishwasher. Everything is provided to enable you to cook as much or as little as you want.
The kitchen leads through to the open plan living and dining room which looks out on to your own patio/garden area overlooked by beautiful mature trees. The living/dining room includes a comfortable corner sofa unit with a recliner and a brand new 32” Smart TV. The dining table and chairs which seat 4 people comfortably look out into the lovely mature garden and the patio doors can be opened in good weather.
The garden and patio area for your own use, includes a rustic table and chairs for 4 people. The mature garden also includes pots of seasonal flowers and is a great place to have breakfast or a glass of wine in the evening (weather permitting!). A barbecue can be supplied on request.
The luxury bathroom has been recently renovated and includes a Jacuzzi bath, luxury fluffy white towels, a power shower and a heated floor and the snooker room at the front of the apartment includes a traditional snooker table and a couple of fridges to store cold drinks (so you don’t have to move through to the kitchen) : )
The comfortable double bedroom overlooks the front garden/terrace while the twin bedded room (with brand new hotel-style beds) overlooks the side of the house. Both bedrooms have a good amount of storage with large wardrobes complete with inbuilt drawers. A hairdryer is provided and is located in the double bedroom wardrobe. All the beds are comfortable with Egyptian cotton bedding.
The entrance to the apartment is through a small side porch which includes coat hooks and is a good area to leave wet coats and muddy shoes and boots!
There are two off road free parking spaces with this apartment and we provide free Wifi.

Check In is from 4pm to 8pm. Later check ins will be directed to a locked key box. If you need anything during your stay, I will normally be available as I live in the upstairs part of the house. If I am not there, you will be able to contact me by telephone. Check out is 10 to 11am. We can't accommodate a later check out but are happy to provide a locked shed if you need to leave luggage and pick it up later that day.
Otros aspectos destacables
The apartment is within my own home but it is totally private and is completely separated off and you have your own private entrance. We have a dog (Bella) and a cat (Terry) and of course they live upstairs with us. There is a possibility that Terry the cat may decide to come visit you as of course being a cat, she thinks she can go anywhere : ) Please just put her back outside again. We would not normally need access to your apartment while you are here, but we do need access to your garden/patio area for putting out wheelie bins and also access to the outside shed/log cabin. However, wherever possible, we will respect your privacy in the garden.
Regrettably we are unable to accommodate dogs as Bella and Terry would object : )
Please do not use bubble bath while the bath is in Jacuzzi mode! We provide bath salts instead : )
