The location is great. It's very accessible and near the bus and Town Hall train station. The rooms are spacious and the place has all the basic necessities that you would need. The place needs a thorough cleaning though. The carpet wasn't cleaned well and triggered my allergic rhinitis. The carpet outside the 2nd bathroom was damped when we checked in. It would also help to have new sheets and duvet cover as there are already visible stains on them. The light on the masters bathroom was burnt out and the sink was clogged when we checked in (Saturday) and I emailed the property manager first thing Monday. A handyman came on Wednesday and the plumber came Friday. The place shows the usual wear and tear but it was still a comfortable place to stay in. Communication with the property managers was easy. They were very responsive and tried to accommodate all our requests. An improvement on the property's upkeep will make it the perfect place to stay in when in Sydney.

Great location but that is about it! We were given 4 options on how to collect the keys. We chose the limousine service they recommended to collect the keys from their office and then to collect us from the airport. Upon notifying the prop manager of our option (we want to check in early) he then advised us that he has organised for the steam cleaning of the carpet to be done at 7am on the day of our arrival (around 12pm). This was less than 24 hours of our arrival mind you. The place has been vacant for 5 days! On our arrival the carpet was very damp. we have to keep our shoes on or else your socks get wet. our 10 month old can't even crawl on the carpet. for the whole night we have to breathe damp air which is not good if your wife and 5 yr old are asthmatic. The place is dirty. I have to rewash the cutlery set, plates, glasses etc. the edges of the dining table was covered with old crusty food and sauces. the worst thing are the bed linen/doona cover not replaced at all. found hairs on the linen. You can't fool people by not replacing the bed linen. I have to take off all the linen and replaced it with clean ones (hope they are clean). Again the place has been vacant for 5 days. The host did offer a full refund but with less than 24 hours to look for an accommodation for a family of four? Plus we have booked this place 5 weeks or more and only give us this amount of notice? I would not recommend this place.

Hi Neil, I do sincerely apologies for the disruption the carpet clean had on your stay. We really do regret it. We do schedule a carpet clean periodically to keep the apartment up to standard, as we consistently get four and 5 star reviews from guests. In this instance, the property had been booked up months in advance. The 5 night gap between the last guests arrival and Neils arrival was the first opportunity we'd had in months to slot in a clean, and the company we use were only able to schedule the clean the day before Neils arrival. Our intention was to have the apartment nice and clean, It was a difficult situation for us as if we'd not hve taken the opportunity to get the carpet cleaned we may have complaints from other guests about the carpet needing a clean because it would likely have been months until we could have slotted it in during a gap. However In retrospect with the inconvenience it caused we should have scheduled the clean at a later date. Again sincere apologies for the affect the carpet clean had on your stay, we pride ourselves on the great reviews this apartment gets and regret how things weren't at the level we aim for here.
