My listing clearly states that AC can be provided at an additional cost. However I still decided to give Shaun and his friend the AC since they were expecting it and I gave him the remote immediately (not eventually). My asking hime to be careful is something that all hosts ask in Jamaica because the cost of electricity is prohibitive and in fat, they went out one day and left it running.
It is not clear to me what he is speaking to me regarding charges because AIRBNB charges both of us so I tried to explain that although he had paid an amount, some of this was airbnb charges. Regardless, if there was confusion and disagreement, all Shaun had to do was have a discussion about it rather thn air his grievances on AIRBNB. He accepted what I had said and we moved on - or so I thought.
With regard to toilet paper I always give one roll regardless of length of stay and afar as I know this is what most hosts do. It is a short term rental, not a hotel. There are occasions when the guest needed because they did not buy and I have given them. However I was not at home at the time so was unable to help them. Interesting that he called it something 'as cheap as' yet ouldn't buy it.
I frequently asked if everything was okay and was never given any indication that Shaun had any problems. Furthermore, I put him in contact with someone locally to get a rented vehicle at a good rate.
It certainly is not clear to me why Shaun should like a second class citizen because we have a set of terms which may not have been clear to him. Whenever, I saw him, I greeted him cordially . I am quite shocked at Shaun's tirade.
