Peaceful and quiet in a rural country setting, our 1833 log cabin has been restored and integrated with a new fully furnished log home, making this 4500 square foot 5 bedroom 3 bath cabin your dream space. The cabin is situated on 55 acres of rolling hill farm country with three stocked ponds, walking paths and is conveniently located about 30 miles from Mount Vernon, Coshocton, Newark or Zanesville. We are close to both Kenyon College and Dennison University.
Rustic charm and country elegance all in one place! Great for family reunions, graduations, gathering with friends, weddings, receptions, men's or women's retreats, anniversaries, holidays, or that simple romantic couples getaway.
Set in the heart of Ohio farm country, this 4500 square foot log cabin is situated on 55 acres. The cabin sleeps 15 (all linens provided) with 4 bedrooms 1 sleeping room and 3 bathrooms. The area is very private and secluded. Our favorite saying is we are far enough away that you can check out but close enough you can't wait to check in. There are miles of gravel roads in the area with very low traffic. Suitable for biking, walking or even horseback riding. This is truly a wonderful place to bring the family or friends to relax and totally "unplug". You can enjoy roasting marshmallows over the large outdoor fire pit or simply relax in the hot tub overlooking the farm. This property will not disappoint!!

This beautiful house is in the country and as such you can find lady bugs, flies, mosquitoes, bees and other insects from time to time. We do our best to keep them on the outside but they are insistent and can get in. Additionally, on rare occasions, there may be a determined bat that makes it into the house, especially in the evening in warm weather if the doors are left open. This is not common but can happen. Seeing various wildlife such as birds and chipmunks is also commonplace. This is, after all, THE COUNTRY. We take every step to make sure your stay with us is uneventful. Should any unwanted house guests occur during your stay, call us immediately so we can resolve the issue promptly. We want you to enjoy your stay with us and we strive to earn those 5 stars!!!
We expect you to treat the house as if it were your own. We provide satellite internet but it is unable to stream movies or music. The signal is equivalent to 3G cell phone data capabilities. However, you can check email, use search engines and view social media pages.
The Weston House is secluded and in the country. As such, you may encounter insects or some critters that make their way into the house. We take all the steps we can to keep them out but they can be determined! If you encounter these during your stay and this is causing a nuisance please let us know so we can address it immediately. We want your stay to be the best it can be.
There are three ponds on the property, they are stocked with bass, perch and blue gill. We do not add any chemicals to these ponds, they are natural and may include leaves or branches and algae. This does not hinder your ability to fish. We do not recommended swimming.
We provide towels and linens during your stay. We ask that you don't wash the white towels with the dark ones, that will ruin them. If you need additional towels or linens please let us know.
Upon checkout we ask that you take your used linens and put them on the floor of the laundry room. We ask that you try to leave the house as close to the way you found it.
Frank and I manage three farms along with the Weston House. We enjoy meeting new people from all over and making their gatherings enjoyable. Our farm and home is only 1.5 miles from the rental and we welcome visitors to the farm to see the animals. We have been hosting families for 15 years.
