Hello travelers! We’re Kate and Nat, and this is the guest room in our recently renovated 1890s Victorian home. The Short North is the place to be in Columbus and we love living here. Our house is on a quiet street with free parking. Walk to great restaurants in 10 minutes, or 25-30 minutes to OSU Stadium, Express Live, downtown, and the convention center. The guest room is upstairs and you’ll have your own full bathroom on the first floor. Looking for a place with character? This is it!
We love the character of our ~1890s home. Original woodwork, a stained glass window, and lots of other little quirks make the house truly unique. The guest room is on the second floor, and has a queen bed, and an antique dressing table with a stool and mirror. We use the closet for storage, so there is not much extra space in there, but we will provide a few hangers if you need them. You will have your own full bathroom on the first floor with towels, soap, and shampoo provided.
The first floor is very open, with a dining area and living area that is open to the kitchen.
You are welcome to use the kitchen to cook your own food, or to keep some things in the fridge. We do not provide food or breakfast - just free coffee!
The front porch is a great place to relax and read a book when the weather is nice!
Disponible para huéspedes
High speed reliable wifi, clean towels and shampoo/ soap. You are welcome to use the microwave or fridge in the kitchen. We'll give you a key when you arrive, so you can come and go as you please. There is always a pot of coffee on in the morning and you are welcome to it!
Atención a los huéspedes
We are a recently married couple and this is our home, so we will be here to meet you when you arrive. We expect that you will be clean and respectful of our home.
Nat works from home and uses the third bedroom upstairs as an office, so he will probably be home and working during the week.
On the weekends, we are usually out to dinner in the area, hanging out with friends, or going to a concert. If you are going to be out late, just be quiet when you get back (and we will do the same)!
We love our house, the neighborhood, and the city, so ask us if you have questions or want recommendations!
Otros aspectos destacables
We have 2 exterior security cameras to monitor the front and back porches of our home.
Free parking is available on the street in front of house.
This is our home. We ask that you respect that.
Quiet hours from 10pm to 8am. No additional guests or visitors are permitted in the house without our permission.
Respect the neighborhood. We know many of our neighbors and this is a quiet street, so please keep any noise to a minimum.
If you need something that isn't in the downstairs bathroom or the guest room, ask us and we'll be happy to help.
We like to keep it clean. In the kitchen, we've got anything you might need as far as plates, glasses, pots & pans, etc., but please hand wash any dishes that you use and leave them to dry in the drying rack, or put them away. If you plan to cook, you must bring all of your own food, drinks, spices, etc. Our food will be in the fridge and pantry. Our food and drinks are off-limits... except the coffee. We brew some each morning and you can help yourself.
We have new hardwood floors that can scratch or dent. Do not move any furniture. Remove your shoes if they are wet or muddy. Do not wear any shoes inside the house that might dent the floors.
Our cleaning fee covers the basics, like laundering of the sheets, bedding, and towels, vacuuming the floor, and cleaning the bathroom. Please make an effort to leave our home as you found it, and clean up after yourselves.
If you have any questions or concerns with the house, let us know during you stay. It's very important to us to be good hosts, and we want to make sure your stay is excellent.
Durante el período del 26 de Octubre de 2017 - 30 de Octubre de 2017 la estancia mínima es de 2 noches.
I love living in our historic neighborhood in the heart of the Columbus. My fiance, Nat and I bought our home in 2015 and have loved renovating it while maintaining its Victorian charm. We've continued to invest in homes in the neighborhood. We love the city and being able to walk to all that the Short North has to offer (restaurants, bars, shops, art galleries). We also love to travel and experience new places through the Airbnb community across the world.
