Walking distance to all Williamstown has to offer, including: Williams College, The Williamstown Theater Festival, the Clark Art Museum, and restaurants; and short driving distance to Mass MoCA, Jiminy Peak, and terrific area hiking. With the deck, gardens, and comfy bed this space is great for couples, solo adventurers, and business travelers.

Please note there is another room in my house listed with Airbnb in case you have a group of four.

El lugar

This second floor guest room has a comfortable queen size bed and a nice reading chair in addition to a well-lit window seat. There's a large dresser for your clothes but no closet , sorry! You will have hooks with hangers for any hanging clothes.
There are room darkening shades at the windows, a small AC in one window and a small bathroom with shower directly off the room.
You should have clear wifi access.

Disponible para huéspedes

I have quite a large house in need of visitors! It feels wrong to let all this space go unused, even though my office is here. You are free to use the downstairs, deck and yard for reading, TV, or relaxation. You should not expect use of the kitchen (see below). Other upstairs bedrooms and bathrooms are private.
The flowers around the deck attract hummingbirds and many other visitors, so just sitting quietly or having breakfast out there can be a pleasure.

Atención a los huéspedes

I will be here to greet you and to say goodbye. I'll be a resource for all your questions. My office is in the house, so I am available much of the time and will inform you if I'll be out. You will have access to come and go as you wish.
I am not a chatterbox, so please never feel compelled to include me in conversation. However, I am very interested in other people's experiences of this crazy life and world, so reach out to me if you feel so moved. I'll plan not to intrude on your time in Williamstown without being prompted.

Otros aspectos destacables

I plan to make and serve breakfast for my guests. Let me know in the evening if you'd like coffee or tea in the morning. You can expect toast or muffins, yogurt, granola, fruit, or oatmeal. I'll have some fruit and snacks out too. However, for a number of reasons, my kitchen isn't yet set up to offer guests cooking access to make their own lunches and dinners. Of course you would be welcome to use any eating space for take out. My expectation is that you will want to be out and about at museums, theater concerts or hiking. There are many wonderful local restaurants to explore during your visit.

Martha made everything feel familiar and relaxed. Her home was lovely, our room was perfect, even had a treat waiting for us on arrival. She's like a familiar warm sweater. Lovely.

Martha is a delightful and ultra-accommodating host. We had the room with queen bed and private bath -- very comfortable (we took the mattress model #!), great towels, a treat awaiting us in our room. Convenient to Mass MOCA, Williams College, Mount Greylock, etc. Look forward to returning to stay again.

We had a great time in Martha's charming home which is walking distance from several shops and restaurants. Her muffins and banana bread made for ideal breakfasts which we enjoyed on the sunny and quiet back patio.

We loved staying in Martha's beautiful home. Her house is located on Main Street and conveniently walkable to Williams College, Spring Street, and more, and a quick drive to Mass MOCA, the Clark, Williams College Museum of Art, the Main Stage of the Williamstown Theater Festival, and countless other Berkshire Mountain draws. Our room was comfortable and tastefully furnished, with a private bath off the bedroom that gave us a wonderful sense of privacy. Martha has a decorator's eye and a knack for making people feel welcome: she provided toiletries and "emergency items" such as a little sewing kit and things like bandaids, tastefully stashed in a beautiful silver box, and left cold water and a little bottle of Proseco to greet us upon our arrival. (If only we had had more time to enjoy things like reading in our room's window seat or sitting outside on the deck, watching the bees, birds, and butterflies in the gorgeous garden; but museums and exploring the Williams campus, all so close, beckoned.) And Martha is such a gracious host—she was warm and welcoming, offered helpful answers to our questions, and provided us with a delicious breakfast, which we enjoyed under the pergola overlooking the garden. Conversation with Martha was delightful; she struck the perfect balance between being available and providing us with space and quiet. We cannot wait to return to Williamstown, and when we do, we hope that it will be to stay once again in Martha's home. Thank you, Martha, for your generous hosting; we hope to be back soon!

Martha cheerfully greeted us even though we were late getting to her house. A chilled bottle of Proseco and water awaited us in our cozy air conditioned room. A surprise in the morning: a light but delicious breakfast on her lovely deck overlooking her flower gardens and trees. We would return again if in the area.

Martha is the best host I've encountered so far! I booked her room for my two daughters' trip to visit Williams college. While I was naturally worried about their trip, Martha shared my concerns and made every effort to ease their trip. Before their trip, I was asking about the possibility of taking public transit to NYC, Martha provided tons of and very valuable information. Upon their arrival, my two daughters response was: nice and cool! Martha provided a fancy basket of toiletries, and chilled mineral water bottles, etc. The next morning, Martha provided them breakfast too! My daughters enjoyed very much of staying in Martha's room. Martha made me feel my daughters were in good hands while staying with her. A side note- my daughters commented Martha is a very elegant lady :)
