Welcome to our creative, 2 bedroom private annexe! Equipped with your own kitchen (including washing machine) & living space , bathroom with a shower, plus 2 bedrooms (one twin and one double room) Would appeal to artists/writers/walkers/nature lovers/academics etc.
We are just outside the picturesque and quaint village of Blackwater in a quiet rural area. The stunning white sandy beach of Curracloe and the nearby Raven Forest Nature Reserve are just twelve to fourteen minutes drive away. There are also a number of other equally beautiful smaller beaches within easy reach and closer by car.
Wexford,a vibrant cultural hub and home of The National Opera House is twenty minutes drive away. The town which was founded over 1000 years ago has retained its historic links with its Norman and Viking past.It was those Viking 'visitors' who first laid out the narrow and picturesque streets and lanes, which today form a thriving town centre in Wexford where you can experience a wonderful cafe culture and fine dining, along with an eclectic arts and culture calendar.
Ideally, you would want a car staying here as it is quite rural and there isn't a train station in the village (nearest station is Wexford) however, if you wish, you are free to borrow our 2 bicycles.
There is a local bus service to Wexford (Monday to Friday) departing 10.15 am and returning early afternoon.
The annexe is equipped with a gorgeous piano, guitar, ukulele - perfect if you're in a creative mood. There's also a functioning vinyl record player for your enjoyment & lots of books to read.
The wifi doesn't stretch to the annexe but you can buy internet dongles from Wexford phone shops that you can top up or you can use the main house wifi in the kitchen when someone is around.
