Our Little Hideaway is close to Sandpoint yet very private. It has great views and charm. Sandpoint has wonderful restaurants , the City beach and great hiking trails all around and a beautiful Lake to explore. You’ll love the location, the coziness, and you'll get in touch with Nature and enjoy the peace the Little House offers. This place is good for couples and solo adventurers. It is kind of Retro and rustic but it is about the beautiful setting. My wife Nancy and I Welcome you.

El lugar

You can see from the pictures, it is very private and sweet. Many folks have said they love how peaceful it is. You don't have to see anyone if you don't want to. The animals won't bother you. If the moose comes you might want to keep your distance as they do whatever they want and could hurt you if you upset them or get to close. The deer are sweet and shy. The turkeys come and go. We had an eagle in one of the big fir trees but he only stayed a few days, probably hunting the area. Now recently we had 3 mature Bald Eagles in the tree tops.

Disponible para huéspedes

You will have acreage to walk on or a quiet road and hiking trails nearby.(Within a 5 or so minute walk or a 2 minute drive). There is a forest to walk in or the meadow with fruit trees. Lots of people in the neighborhood walk the road for exercise as it is quiet and pretty. Farmy.

Atención a los huéspedes

We are available and love to talk about our town and area. We have been here since the 1970's so we know it well. We love restaurants and know them all. Happy to point out the good ones(our Opinion) and keep you from having generic fare, unless that is what you are up for. Hiking trails abound and we have brochures for that. The Lake is amazing, hardly used. On weekdays you might not see other boats. Miles of undeveloped shoreline and places to camp or stay with your boat where you can be quite private. City Beach is right downtown, and it is huge, and handy if you want to hang or swim or rent a boat or have a meal with a view.

Great location, beautiful views, lots of wildlife not far from downtown Sandpoint. It's a cute older farmhouse with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Loved communicating with the hosts - very friendly and helpful!

A bit funky but wonderful lodging out of town but with easy access to Sandpoint. Quiet location in the country side under evergreens and with an old orchard on property. Comfortable bed, complete country kitchen with breakfast nook to watch the deer and wild turkeys parade by. Wonderful hosts. We would stay here again when in the area. Lynn and Mark

Very charming and cozy! Location was perfect, we felt a great sense of solitude with all the amenities just minutes away. The house well exceeded our expectations for cleanliness for a 100yr old homestead! Nancy couldn't have been sweeter and we felt very welcome at check in. The kitchen was very accommodating, fridge was even stocked with a few items which we didn't take advantage of, but greatly appreciated the gesture. We were greeted by many deer and a family of wild turkeys that made me wonder if it wasn't all just perfectly staged. :) I would recommend highly to anyone looking for a quiet and cozy stay.

My wife, 9 month old son and I had a great time staying at Tom and Nancys getaway! It was an old home that reminded me of the house that my grandma grew up in. I guess the 88 year old neighbor grew up in the house! It is definitely old and hasn't had much updating done, but that is where the charm of the house shows! We enjoyed the wildlife and views. We brought our pack and play and our son did great. We also had our bicycles with us and rode around Sandpoint a lot. The only downside with the location for cyclists is that the last quarter mile is a steep climb. Especially with A baby in tow. Other than that, it's a short ride(2-3 miles) into town or over to Dover Bay (we were there for a wedding). In summary, if you want a quiet place to stay that takes you back to another era, this is the place. Thanks Tom and Nancy!

Tom and Nancy are superb hosts! There home is simply amazing. The quiet, tranquility of the little home on the hill was priceless. We were greeted by turkey and deer for breakfast. The sunsets from the house over the lake were majestic! Can't wait to visit again in the spring.

Quaint historic home in an absolutely stunning location. Coffee under the trees was a relaxing experience! Great kitchen for family get togethers. This worked great for us attending a wedding in Sandpoint.
