This farmhouse is located on a charming farm right in the middle of the Seneca lake wine trail. The house has a large kitchen, updated large bathroom, and a roomy upstairs that has two large beds and two smaller beds across 2 rooms. Great location for those wanting to hike and visit wineries in the Finger lakes. Unfortunately, our stay concurred with weather patterns that drove ladybugs and flies to swarm inside the house. Our host explained the reason for the bug situation to us after we inquired about the bugs and came in to vacuum bugs up each day, but we still had to swat at least 50 bugs each night before going to sleep. Our host provided a fly swatter for this purpose. Future guests should note that one entrance door to the house does not have a lock. Our host suggested we put a chair against the door if we were concerned about safety...we did that but a locking door would have been preferable.

The farm was perfect for my needs. My dogs were able to roam without my fearing for trouble they might get into for themselves or for others--and I had a little table I could relax at while watching them tire themselves out. The hike to the gorge was an extra attraction. The house was homey and yet fairly dog-proof. The view was utterly beautiful. I definitely would return, for a longer stay.

Amazing stay and amazing host! Couldn't have picked a better place, and will definitely return soon. House was perfectly located a few minutes walk to a private gorge, and many vineyards. Michele was a perfect host! And doggo Maisie was the best hiking companion. Would recommend this place to everyone wanting to visit Seneca Lake.

Great location for wine tasting, an unassuming, quiet location off the main road but right where you'd want to be! The country feel and quaint surroundings make for a great weekend. Plenty to do and see, very reasonable, for those down home style travelers. Definitely going back! Dave O July 2017

Michelle, Andy and Maizie (the dog) have a beautiful 2-story guest barn. It is charming and comfortable with more than enough space for a large family. The kids enjoyed petting the horses, feeding chickens, and swimming in the private gorge.(it is quite the hike down but very serene- bring a bottle of wine and sit in the flow on the flat rocks). The property provides beautiful photo opportunities!! The stairs to the bedrooms are a tad steep and may be a challenge for some to navigate. This gorgeous home was 12 minutes from Watkins Glen and surrounded by wineries. We even picked cherries at a local farm on opening cherry day! Thanks Michelle- if we visit the finger lakes again- it will be At Windswept Farm!
