Welcome home! Would you enjoy staying in a log cabin with a stone fireplace on the western bluff of Lookout Mountain?
This three bedroom, three full bath, two story log home has hardwood floors throughout, a fully appointed kitchen, a large dining room table, washer and dryer, and a large deck to enjoy the view of the valley (1,200 feet) below. Sitting on top of Lookout Mountain looking off to the north west. Watching a storm roll in or watching the Sunsets can sometime be spectacular!
Just under 11 miles from Rock City and 15 miles to the heart of downtown Chattanooga. Yet a world away !
This house will feel like home when you arrive. From the hunter’s details to the vaulted ceilings, the beautiful stone fireplace that is for decor purposes only (not to be used)., leather couches, love seat and chair that you will sink into and never want to leave, comfort is the word.
On the second floor is a loft area with yet another, very comfortable, leather lazy boy couch and a library. Put your feet up and enjoy a good book, or just relax.
The huge screened in porch, complete with ceiling fans, allows you to watch the sunrise with your coffee or relax in the shade in the afternoon.
Bedrooms one and two each have two twin beds and each have their own full bath and are located on the main level.
The master suite is on the second level and has a king sized bed and its own full bath.
Limited direct TV is available, but there is no internet or WiFi.
Plan to unplug here as internet is not available.

Thor and Christina enjoy traveling all over the world, particularly in the US, Italy and Germany. Because of their experiences, they also love helping travelers have the best experience possible in all aspects of their stay! In order to expand their service to travelers, they pursued licensing by the Tennessee Real Estate Commission as a Vacation Lodging Service, and Thor became licensed as a Vacation Lodging Designated agent in 2014.

Christian “Thor” Thoreson is an avid outdoor enthusiast. From flying hang gliders as much as possible since 1979, Thor also enjoys biking, hiking, snowboarding and mostly just playing (leading Skiing and Hang Gliding trip) in the German, Austrian, and Italian Alps.
Thor started in the vacation rental business in the Chattanooga Area in 2004 with one property. After selling his ownership in Lookout Mountain Flight Park (2006), he further invested in additional real estate for vacation rentals.
Christina Thoreson is also an outdoor enthusiast. Hang gliding, hiking and paddling are her current favorites. Christina has worked in all things real estate for over 30 years. As an appraiser, broker and litigation consultant, the vacation lodging business just seemed to fit in that mold.
Monica comes to Lookout Mountain Vacation Rentals from a background in public relations and marketing. She is an active volunteer for the Sigma Kappa sorority organization, PEO, and Thankful Memorial Episcopal Church. She started in the vacation rental business in 2013. She currently works in our reservations section, and you may get to talk with her by phone.
Owen is in charge of our housekeeping and finishing team, after working with Tybee Island Vacation Rentals south of Savannah, he is uniquely qualified to clean and finish. Our team of housekeepers and finishers spent several days with a national, vacation rental specific housekeeping trainer from Florida and learned some wonderful things about vacation rental cleaning in early 2017.
Other reservationists you may encounter are Jennifer, Emma, and Robin, all of whom have personally visited and/or stayed in each of these properties. Responsible for housekeeping in various properties are Rachel, Alice, Sarah, Owen, Dylan, Makenzie, and Ollie, and from the very beginning Jayme. We strive to provide an excellent experience.
