Stillington is a lovely peaceful village with great character. It has 2 pubs serving great food, an Indian restaurant, a fish and chip shop, churches and village store/post office run by locals.
There are wonderful walks all around the village with good cycle tracks.
Easy access to York (10 miles) , on the edge of the Hambleton Hills in an area of outstanding beauty and within driving distance of the North York Moors (11 miles to Helmsley) and Yorkshire Coast.
Though the cottage is mainly available for long weekend lets it may be possible to let for longer periods on request (i.e. holiday periods).
The cottage is cosy but compact. It has 2 bedrooms which would sleep 3 comfortably and 4 at a push. The second bedroom is small with room for a single bed but not much else! There is a small sofa bed in the sitting room for the 3rd or 4th guest if necessary.

Washing machine and full kitchen, including microwave and freezer.
Woodburner (logs and coal provided) and electric wall heaters.
Enclosed private garden.
Dogs welcome, though no dog in residence - garden area secure.
Breakfast items (bread and bagels), milk, orange juice and tea and coffee provided.

The entire house and garden will be available to you during your stay. Small shed available for storing a bike.
There are steps up to the cottage and the stairs in the cottage are quite steep so access may be difficult for anyone with restricted mobility.

Property is accessed via 3 to 4 steps from the cobbled parking area.
We are married and have three grown up children - our photo is a little dated, but this is how we would like to remember ourselves!!
Peter works as a GP and Rachel is a university lecturer.
Our interests are anything outdoors including sports, walking and gardening. Rachel enjoys cooking and entertaining, reading and knitting!
