Paradise Hill is close to nature, peace and quiet. You’ll love our cozy little cabin's rural setting just 20 mins from town. Our little cabin is great for anyone who likes to rough it just a little bit with a wood stove to keep warm by. A kitchenette, electric lights and heater for those who want a little more comfort! Outdoors you'll find a scent free compost outhouse, but no shower or hot water. Hot pot available inside to heat water for washing.

El lugar

Our Cozy Little Rustic Cabin is comfortable and welcoming. If you like the cabin experience, then you will love our little place. Included is a kitchenette, a small fridge/freezer, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, hotpot, and a hot plate. Cold running water in cabin can be heated up with the hotpot for washing as well as there is drinking water. You'll find cereal and milk, coffee and cream, tea, honey and sugar, fresh fruit, yogurt and granola, bread, peanut butter and jam, enough to get your morning started! Comforts include a wood stove or an electric heater, fan, pine buffet/cabinet, table and chairs, and double futon/couch, reclining chair, comfy queen sized bed and a loft area with both a super single and single futon. Hand towels, face cloths, shampoo, blow dryer also available in cabinet. A covered front porch to enjoy your morning coffee listening to the birds and squirrels chitter. You'll also be able to hear the rooster crowing and the chickens clucking from nearby. Bring earplugs if you want to sleep in! There is a compost outhouse behind the cabin which works like a dream( no shower or hot water). A firepit, table and chairs and cooking table are across the driveway just for your use.
Also available is a barbeque, on request. Hope to see YOU soon!

Disponible para huéspedes

As guests, you will have sole use of the cabin. Once we have oriented you to the cabin, we will leave you to your own. If, however you need anything, just ask. You may also walk through the property for a heart pounding stroll (we are on a hill). Maybe you'll be lucky enough to see some of the locals, chipmunks, squirrels, grouse, rabbits, chickens, rooster and cats. Maybe, if your really lucky, even the occasional larger wild animals.

Atención a los huéspedes

Generally, there is always someone home so if there are any questions or concerns, we will be here for you or if you just want to come up for a coffee and a visit. Once you are settled in however, we will not disturb you. Just kick back and enjoy yourself!

Otros aspectos destacables

There is a restaurant about 7 minutes away for other meals, if desired. This facility also sells fuel, groceries and alcohol. There is another restaurant about 20 minutes further up (left at) the Nazko Highway called Sylvia's with showers and a laundry mat! Or head into town to our local recreation centre, have a shower, use the gym, enjoy the pool, hot tub, and steam room. Open all day every day! There is also a laundromat downtown behind Dairy Queen, centrally located close to all amenities. Also on the West side is one just across from Mac's a block past Save on Foods!

This place is a great stopover, especially for people like us who are driving the Alcan and need to crash for the night. The rustic nature of the cabin fits perfectly with the area that it is in, and it is supernaturally quiet. Susie also gave us some tips about our next traveling stop, which was a place that she lived for 25 years. This place is a great value and I recommend it.

Susie had excellent communication with me. I unfortunately underestimated the amount of time it would take to drive to Quesnel, so I arrived very late. The hosts were kind enough to let me arrive around midnight. I didn't really get to look around or do much in the cabin except sleep, but it was a super cozy and clean bed. My only problem was it was hard to navigate there at night without a gps. I was sent directions but maybe a little too late :) I still got there. Thank you.

I live here on our 5 acre farm with my husband Tim and our daughter Jennie. We named our property Paradise Hill because it feels like paradise here. We moved here in 2015 and promptly brought home a couple dozen layer chicks. It's nice to have fresh eggs. Our son and his famil…
