Our stay at the Eagle Cottage was absolutely charming and lovely. Joanne are her adorable little son Charlie were warm, kind, and very welcoming. Located in a quiet forest nook before you reach the main town of Arisaig, the cottage is the first home that you come to and is attached to the main home where Jo and her family live. It's a beautiful cottage with a traditional Scottish harl style exterior, clean lines. The interior is decorated in a charming, simple, and welcoming style. My wife and I both felt like the stress that we had been carrying from the build up to the wedding melted away as soon as we walked into the cottage. Before we ventured into town for dinner, we stepped out of the cottage and enjoyed an amazing costal walk along the Arisaig shoreline, where we saw an ENTIRE family of deer, a golden Scottish sunset, and the most epic views of craggy cliffs. The bed was one of the most comfortable I'd slept on and after soaking in a huge bathtub with steaming hot water up to our chins under the scottish stars that we could see from the skylight, we drifted off to a blissful sleep. In the morning we were met with a lovely breakfast spread that had been stocked in the fridge before we arrived by Jo. The cottage is as described and more. The beautiful floors are heated and everything from the bread tin to the piano is warm and inviting. I've used AirBnB only once before and it was not a very good experience. Our previous host was obtrusive and cold. We were very leery about trying AirBnB again, especially during my honeymoon, however the experience that we had at the Eagle Cottage will be the reason that we will continue to try AirBnB. Jo and family were incredible hosts - around if needed but provided privacy. Thank you Jo and family for being incredible hosts. We will certainly be back!

We loved Eagle Cottage! It was the cleanest Airbnb experience we have had, the sheets smelled amazing. The cottage is beautifully designed and the goodies Joanne provided were delicious. We would love to go back for a longer stay.

We had an excellent experience in Arisaig, thanks to Joanne and her well appointed home. Pete greeted us when we arrived and told us of some local hikes and attractions. Joanne ensured that we had fresh fruit, salmon, cheese and delicious breads for breakfast. The beds were very comfortable - honestly the best of our trip. We even enjoyed a red deer sighting in back yard. A great launching point for the islands.

Thank you profusely for my stay. Lovely location in the middle of an enchanted wood. Close to a secluded bay in a house furnished with impeccable taste. Loved it. Surprisingly warm and very well equipped.

Wow this place is perfect. All the reviews were spot on. We loved our trip to Scotland and this cottage made the experience even better. We didn’t want to leave and we will definitely be booking there again one day. There is so much to do in this area we couldn’t fit it all in. Eagle cottage is perfect central point to explore this most spectacular part of the world.

We had a really lovely weekend staying at Eagle Cottage. Jo and Pete were very helpful and friendly. The house is cosy, clean and relaxing. We loved that there was no TV or Wifi. We took our bikes and had some lovely cycles in the local area. Would definitely recommend this house. Thank you

We, (Pete and Jo's) family home is Eagle Cottage, having eco-restored it over the past three years. We are both keen on the outdoors and can organise trips out kayaking and seal watching in the area, climbing local mountains such as Ben Nevis, or else take you identifying wild flowers along the coastal paths in the area. We often go for wonderful walks in the area from rock-pooling missions to white sand beach strolls to rugged moorland hikes with spectacular views out to the islands - we can help with all of that if you'd like to experience them.
We enjoy cooking, and use foraged stuff, fish we catch, local venison and highland beef as well as loads of pulses, spices... and invention. Pete's eldest son, Sam, is a chef in London, so we learn from him when he comes to visit.
Charlie, our little lad, is two years old, and was born at the semi renovated cottage - he'll be pleased to welcome you to the Highlands.
We love: Winter. Wood burning stoves. Whisky. Biodynamic wine. The sea.
